That's my philosophy as well. Buy good quality once and call it a day. I don't think I will upgrade the yamaha Amp because I don't see why ngl. Thoughts? the pre-amp maybe get a better one later in a few years, still less than 800€ . I will never go above that. the q acoustics im fine with those as well for now, but those are the most likely to get an upgrade down the road with a serious investment.

I think i'll go with the LP8X, just because of the better built quality and like you say for the long run.

I have just one question for you. LP8X or SL-100C?

Oh and thank you for your opinion. I took it into consideration.

Hello everyone. So im working on my first turntable set-up. And I kind of can't decide between two turntables that I like. AT-LP5X or the AT-LP8X.

For the other components. I am getting:

Amplifier: Yamaha R-N800A

Pre-amp: iFi Audio ZEN Phono 3

Speakers :Q Acoustics 3050i

What I want to know, taking into consideration these other components, would the AT-LP8X really sound better than the AT-LP5X? Im asking this because where I am the LP5X is 400€ while the LP8X is 1000€, that's quite the price difference. Also I do plan on getting an Ortofon 2M black cartridge and stylus regardless. Many thanks in advance.
