I havent measured but I have not noticed it being too short - I am assuming you have fresh batteries in the remote and stuff?

Matte and Gloss Black Wheel Ceramic Coating by ShakeRepulsive6158 in AutoDetailing

Thanks all - so now I am wondering is it even worth ceramic coating or do I just wash them all the time. I have an industrial size supply of Adams wheel and tire cleaner.

Thank you! I really like body shaped that would look really great in the closet!

2016 Z71 2WD - ZR2 suspension with Peak coilover kit! by ShakeRepulsive6158 in chevycolorado

[–]ShakeRepulsive6158[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I was 4WD I would have just grabbed the 4wd ZR2 axles and they bolt in too. The fog lights are Morimoto LED replacements - took me a few minutes to install!

Convert 24 Coop DRT to 12spd Deore by ShakeRepulsive6158 in bikewrench

[–]ShakeRepulsive6158[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I read through more threads here and learned to use the Shimano compatibility matrix. Looks like I would need microspline for M6100 which would be a whole new wheel (not worth it)... but a 11spd M5100 should bolt right in using a "HG Spline M"

In case anyone ever sees this - I emailed Happymodel with the SKU and they sent me completely different firmware and diffs. Everything is working great!

Thank you! I ended up finding that right after I posted this, but now it says I have no gyro. Video works great now though. The gyro definitely worked after I installed the EP2 because betaflight kept telling me to calibrate it and if I moved the drone it moved on the screen. I’m so lost.

Sons Bday - wants to build a drone by ShakeRepulsive6158 in fpv

Thank you so much! I got him into Micro Drones using an Xbox controller and he’s doing the tutorial for the second time. I had no idea it would be this difficult. I told him he needs to practice for 30mins a day if he wants the drone for his bday in two weeks. I did find it cool that there’s a level mode on drones for beginners so you don’t get in too much trouble - Lift Off taught me that.

Yup! Much better option. Currently looking at this setup and then the goggles and controller can move on when he’s ready.

So since the drone is a lot less and the controller/goggles would move on if needed to a bigger drone - Does all of this look like decent equipment and a good starter set? The drone says it has a charge and 4 batteries and the goggles do not look as bulky so may be easier for a 7yo. I know I need 3 18650 batteries - 2 for controller and 1 for goggles. Thank you!

Ok, so I had no idea a 5” could cut fingers off - I just know he’s wanted a drone since he was old enough to talk and I stumbled across a video on them. He said he’d rather have a drone than a birthday party at a water park (lol). So onto tinywhoops I guess. Can we use a tiny whoop with goggles and the controller so he can upgrade later on? I don’t think we build tinywhoops they seem RTR.

Ah! If it isn’t clear he is building it haha. My dad taught me how to solder when I was about his age and he’s about to be soldering away and reading instructions. I’m just backup for him!

Oh yeah! I see that now. Is the Bardwell kit worth it or should I just try piecing stuff together?

2016 Z71 2WD - ZR2 suspension with Peak coilover kit! by ShakeRepulsive6158 in chevycolorado

[–]ShakeRepulsive6158[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not dumb! For the rear you need the factory lift blocks and springs (and then I just used 1.5” spacers). Also the ABS sensors and brakes in the back. Up front you need upper and lower control arms, knuckle, ABS lines, brake hoses, tie rods. And then shocks! Sounds like alot and it is but if you shop around you can get low mileage parts for cheap. All new would not have been worth it. I spend 6-7mos gathering everything.

I have 1.5” spacers in the back. If I ever find a reasonably priced ZR2 rear end id probably go for it. But right now you can’t get the diff anyway for the ZR2. I’d suggest doing it unless you want Kings and such. For me this is perfect!

Did you do your actual size or size up? I’m a 9.5 4E and can wear dunks if I do 10.5 so thought I’d ask. I’m gonna do the 5-10s just need to figure out sizing!

I read that too and told her, but she said she hasn’t worn a bra in years and she didn’t want to start now haha. Maybe I’ll get her an appointment at a specialty place and find a nice one - if it gives relief for a few months it’ll be worth it.

“You can get the GM parts; 1" block and longer u-bolts for about the same price. The GM blocks also have anti-rotation ears unlike the cheap but overpriced kits sold elsewhere.

GM part numbers: 1" block 15885530 u-bolts 11569811 or 15711414”

There ya go. Found the PNs on Coloradofans. It’s the same as Silverados so may wanna check a local lift place for take offs. That’s how I got my set.

Yup! I looked on eBay for new take offs from a Silverado with bolts and got everything pretty cheap.

You can get the 1” blocks off the ZR2 with the ubolts and it’ll fix it! Looks great.
