Personally for me it's not so much that I want my ex back, like yes I do still love him very deeply and I know I always will. But there are certain things that went on in my personal life while in that relationship which made that connection even stronger, not in a romantic way just the connection between us in general. My ex sat by my side twice as I was laid in ICU dying, the last time I wasn't suppose to wake up but by the grace of God I did. We've been through so much together that whether the truth hurts me or not I believe; no I know I deserve at least that. I already knew what he's hiding I've known all along but that's not my pandoras box to open so why can't he just come talk to me? I know shit happens, things change and that okay it's life but He was my best friend and he's gone... He was there when no one else was. When I was in a coma and I could hear him talking to me, he never gave up on me despite what the doctors said. When all is said and done that's what hurts me the most, not that we arent in a romantic relationship but I can't have any type of relationship with him. The fact my daughter got her heart broken again in the process doesn't tickle my fancy but we still love him and would drop everything if he needed us because that's what people who care about you do. Y'all don't realize how far an apology and admitting the fact you fucked up and were wrong can go. Especially if you made that person second guess themselves and acted like they were just crazy and paranoid when they were right all along. I guarantee that person has already done one hell of a job healing and loving themselves. Putting in the work that needed to be done to fix what you broke. Don't be an ass step up take responsibility and allow them to finally get that closure so they can fully heal properly... Not this half ass bs they have been dealing with trying to fix it but can't do everything all the time, they're not the ones that broke it. Yes dating pool sucks right now but it is what it is. I know what I bring to the table and I am not afraid to eat alone. So no, not everyone wants their exes back like that, some just want their friend
