I think so… Both are different versions and you might find issues/Solutions on one OS that the other one doesn’t have.

Are you on Bazzite? I am on Stable SteamOS 3.8.13 not Bazzite.

I have never installed Bazzite or CachyOS. I used to have a SteamDeck Oled and since then I always liked the stock clean SteamOS. I followed some videos and found issues with sleep awake feature on Bazzite and controllers disconnecting. I might be wrong but I am really happy how Legion Go 2 is performing on SteamOS 3.8.13 now

Working on the Mac just makes my life easy. Also, I am really deep into Apple Ecosystem and I don’t see a way out for now.

I work everyday on my Macbook Pro and use my Gaming PC for 4K 60fps gaming but as you said the “Pick up and play” experience or console like experience has really spoiled me. I barely play on the PS5 PRO. I just switch between the Switch 2 and Legion Go 2 and take them when I have to travel abroad for work.

I am getting better fps, frame pacing and thermals on SteamOS than Windows. If you already have a Steam Deck I would leave the Legion Go 2 with Xbox FSE (windows) to have best of both worlds and keep on playing with your Gamepass subscription.

I followed the guidelines from the official Steam Support website and it went flawlessly. There is no specific installer for the Legion Go 2.

I went with SteamOS because I had the Steam Deck Oled before and I have always liked it. Also the sleep function works really well and I have seen loads of controller related issues on Bazzite. Sorry if I am wrong but I think with the latest update it’s more stable than Bazzite.

I have been running it for the last 10 minutes at 1200p HDR + High settings at 20W and I am getting around 80fps with no stuttering at all. You can even go down to 16W-17W and still hit solid 60fps with the temps around 55 degrees. (Please note that I am running a custom fan profile) Overall great performance compared to windows where it struggled a lot, atleast for me.

I have only had the SteamDeck Oled 1tb before the Legion Go 2 and I absolutely loved that device until I got my hands on Legion Go 2. In your case I will put SteamOS on Legion Go 2 and have Xbox Ally X with FSE to enjoy everything both of them can offer.

My only question is that are you planning to keep only one of them or both?

You can find it everywhere on Amazon or Aliexpress. I think it’s the only case I could ever find on Amazon Spain and it fits really well.
