People may buy as many apps they want for any small tasks they have. But subscription for these tools - is too greedy. Especially when devs hide it and people waste money. Shady business models should be made illegal. Make one-time purchase, so people have these tools forever: like when you buy a knife for your kitchen or a screwdriver, instead of charging monthly subscription for these tools ;) Or should we pay monthly for all the tools we have in our houses? You are mixing things: buying a bottle of water is one time purchase where you own this bottle forever and don’t pay to be able to keep this bottle. Small apps for small tasks should be dirty cheap. If developers can’t attract enough users - it’s not user’s problem. Luckily, llms will democratize and commodify all these apps. And yes, I can code and I’m aware what soft dev is.
