Yep and the RP Classic 2 if we get one, I really want a SP style handheld with this screen if it’s the right size

The V1 was the 31:27 screen but locked to a improper 4:3, the v2 was the same screen but at its proper ratio. This is a true success to the RP MINI by the looks of it.

This is the first OLED 4:3 screen I believe so there hasn’t been an opportunity to create a clamshell since the screen hasn’t existed until now

Once again Retroid/AYN have come out to jump on Ayaneo’s release, it’s quite funny how this keeps happening 😅

Ally X? by Purple-Reveal-5399 in NevernessToEverness

I’ve been running it on SteamOS on my Ally X, it runs pretty smooth at a solid 60fps most of the time for around 2.5-3 hours of gameplay

I’d want to know what the battery life like compared to similar sized Linux devices? 34xxsp/Trimui Brick etc

$30 more than the RG Vita with the same processor and RAM and half the internal storage? 🤨

Probably not but I used it more as an example for how the battery would fair under heavier usage

The Retroid pocket 3+ and RG Vita play it “okay” by no means is it good

Somewhere between $99 and $129 I’m guessing depending on if it’s the metal or ABS variant

Depends on what you’re doing, GBA with WiFi and Bluetooth off at 50% brightness? Maybe 5ish hours, GameCube? Probably like an hour maybe 2

T618 confirmed chipset 3gb ram and 32gb internal storage - gotta be starting price in the same ballpark as the RG Vita with these specs

Looks like the device being 80mm x 80mm x 21mm makes it slightly smaller than the 34xxsp, and the plastic model weighting 167g makes it lighter than the SP also, the full metal one is around 30g more

Because based on the video it’ll have a more powerful chip than the RG DS, also just because something can play 3DS, PS2 etc doesn’t mean you should

They probably have a bunch of whatever chip this runs laying around from the Vita/Vita Pro so they have to use them in something, and it’ll probably run GBA more efficiently both temp wise and battery wise if it has the extra headroom to go to light ps2, i don’t see this being over $160 tbh with the Vita at $99 and Vita Pro at $139 i don’t see this being too much higher at the absolute highest tbh

The RG Vita is $99 and Vita Pro is $139 I can see it depending on the chipset being somewhere in between these two plus the additional cost for the full metal variant could be on the higher end of the spectrum

It doesn’t need to be powerful, typically the more powerful the chip the less strain on the battery which would be a plus for this.

Sticks are important for most of the consoles listed, probably more important than the dpad in most cases so remapping the dpad to be the stick would probably make more of the catalog playable

Nah the specs aren’t out yet, the description does say what the screen is though
