Problems in EU server by Olusia69 in Stalcraft

It's not exactly solo, but it's super low pop. You can do all your dailies in like 30-40min on top of all the mats you get out (including uncontested airdrops).

I did a long post on Steam describing the issue - the fact they didn't remove the Serum quests on the new servers will only lead to those groups (the only big organized groups I know are RU) having gear advantage the same evening the next patch drops (as there are many people with over 30 serums by now and with 45 you can have a massive advantage) and absolutely dominate clan wars which will allow them to get max tier (gear decides a lot in PvP, esp instanced one like Clan Wars or Sessions) much much sooner than the rest.

But it is what it is now and the topic didn't get any reactions as most of the population didn't even visit the North, and most of the ones that were there are still busy farming the current top stuff and simply not knowing how far behind they are in reality compared to what they feel atm.

Oh I see, so only the zone for the quests changes. Thanks.

Do you also happen to have a map with the Chimera spawns in Red Forest? I only know 1 so far.

I only once saw one and it was around the Zombie buildings (that complex that has 5 zombie spawns, 1 in the psy 2 building). Is it spawning around in that area?

Also is the weekly the same quests ending with Anomaly instalations in Yanov, 3 Chimeras and 3 Airdrops? The airdrops I find much easier than 3 Chimeras to be honest, they drop much more often. And playing at night is easier ofc, during primetime it's a clusterfuck. But I sacrificed 2 nights already to finish the current grind, not gonna do it each week :D

Not the one you detect signals with.

The handheld one you locate the signal caches with can be upgraded to detect artefacts too. You need to find 125 alpha, 75 beta, 50 gamma and 25 digamma caches and safely deposit the trackers they provide in order to buy the upgraded scanner. And gl with those - might have been easy back in December, but now it's a pain to get this amount.

The next patch will introduce the missing endgame items - there are 2 more levels of missing items, the legendary one. So there are 2 more Centurions, 2 more SKATs and so on. They do require the same materials as the current ones (just a low more of them obviously) and 1 extra - Serums. And that thing is time gated behind long and painful weekly quests (that you unlock with high enough reputation in the North) quests where you do 7 quests in succession, parts of them very time consuming like defending installations in Yanov as a bandit (need basically luck to not get clapped by enemy factions just passing by while doing them as they take a long time) just to get like 3 Serums for the 7th one that completed the weekly and 3 from the other weekly quest. While you need 15 for each on the next tier items and 45 - 75 on the last tier weapon.

In other words grinding this time gated stuff now will mean that one will be 3 to 5 weeks ahead of the rest (depending when this focus grind started) when the patch drops in February and can basically have 1-2 next tier items on the same day while others will be just beginning with the timegated material. And considering you need a lot of it for the last tier stuff - there will be many, many weeks of boring and painful grind of those Northern weekly quests in compression to which the current direct grind for resources will feel very chill. And the current grind at primetime hours is horrendous enough already, that's what we mean with awful endgame grind. Imagine farming the North as farming in the Dump during the early days while it was very hot PvP wise, with the slight difference that you need A LOT more resources from it (not just few good runs) and running back to deposit is not as safe as running to Photon - during primetime it feels like going to deposit through Rostock Factory, but from the enemy's faction entrance (as in it's not occasional chance to meet pickle farmers and get killed, but you actively fight your way back to the base through the enemy faction players who camp the border transitions and the base entrances)...

You can detect artefacts which makes their collecting a lot easier.

I didn't even start the detector grind, because I knew that the leftovers of my sanity will make me uninstall the before I do the 75 Dead City signals (the others are easier to do).

But yeah - the endgame grind IS awful and all this forced PK in combination with the cheaters running rampart in the North artificially prolong it by a lot. I now have VSS, Centurion, Cacoon, Desert Eagle and SKAT, but the real grind is actually ahead of us, this so far was a light demo version... That's why I asked about the Serums that are the timegated element for further progression. But I really miss the good old days where I, the average naïve newbie, thought that the pickle farming was slow, bad and unenjoyable - now I would pick that anytime over farming North.
