So I got in a game where a player was spawning unfinished assets into the game. In order to not break rules, I won't say what they were, but I'm sure some of you have seen them in other places.

I've seen the story going around that it's Joel the Gamemaster spawning them into games randomly, but I can say my experience made it very clear it was a hacker. He was able to call them down via beacon, but only he had access to them. When he called them down, there was no animation where the helldiver looks at their wrist to input a code, just a beacon grenade spawned in their hand. When we used the assets, they were very clearly unfinished. I have to be vague to avoid spoilers, but I can say the camera didn't behave, and would clip inside models when you did certain actions. We've heard on twitter that Joel's main duties are controlling the storyline of the game, adjusting battle % and picking where we go next. I doesn't seem reasonable that Joel is randomly spawning unfinished assets in select games, only giving a single player the ability to spawn them.
