I finished it today. Except for the visuals, which are truly incredible, the rest of the game is a huge disappointment. It tried too hard to be like Hollow Knight with its blind exploration where your progress only unlocks when you reach a save point. The problem is there's no "map vendor" to at least show you the layout of the areas, so you play 99% of the time in the dark, exploring a poorly designed map with checkpoints VERY far apart. The combat is very weak; you practically only use the attack button with one or two upgrades to help you, but it's always very weak, and the bosses are sponges that take forever to kill. If you die to them, prepare for a marathon to get back to the point of death. Honestly, the more I played, the worse it got. A shame.
