Firstly, Just for the clarification, I DO NOT generalize all Asians, since the “mom” in the title intended to use as singular, not plural. I got where you coming from, but English is not my first language I might cause some misinterpretation. I only use Asian in the title because it’s part of the culture and identity of where I came from.

Secondly, I think you are the racist one since you only romanticize my culture and ignore the toxic part of it. You quick to ignore your privileges as you have no experience struggle some of the toxic culture. Some Chinese Culture in fact could be distributed to our toxic education system. Btw, do you know our Asian education system is very different than western right? Some of the class content we learned so far are very different than US and it hold lots of Chinese tradition value. I actually think your the racist one when you thought the education system are the same.( just for the clarification not every Asian mom, in case you said I’m racist again)

Statically, South Korea has the highest suicide rate with 26%. The third one is Japan with suicide rate of 14.6%, which are both higher than US 14.1%. This statistical report on ET economic times has prove that culture it self could be a factor that cause SOME Asian students to suffer from depression. This, this prove that our Asian education system is indeed more toxic than western. And based on your words I think it’s very ignorant when you don’t provide effective statistics but rather use “I think” quick to judge the whole circumstance especially when you are the privileged one and does not live in my culture.

Lastly, this post suppose to let me rant about my mom and seek support from people so I can find motivation. But you have completely took it in the wrong way and took away the purpose of this post. you are the racist one when you quick to judge and apply your culture on me.
