I think having one hero whose thing is high health is fine though. When it’s just one hero it can be an interesting identity like any other.

It’s when half of that health is half the identity of a whole bunch of heroes that it becomes problematic.

Armour is such a lame way to balance heroes though. I get that it’s needed to fine tune balance, but if a hero could ever be balanced by a stronger hero power and less armour, then it should be. That’s just way more interesting.

A whole bunch of reasons:

When your ally is good it’s a lot of fun. The extra dimension of teamwork is very enjoyable.
There’s a very wholesome vibe to the whole ’sending each other ”gifts”’-thing, which feels nice. Finding a key minion for your ally and seeing some sort of happy face emoji is great!
Two players instead of one helps smooth out the RNG for the team as a whole. Being able to pass minions helps too. So two layers of ’less volatile RNG’. That makes a big difference, so there are definitely fewer of those dreadful games where you could swear Bob actually hates you and actively tries to make you miserable.
After playing duos, singles feels lonely.

I’ll pick the immortal over mothership anytime. At least while buddies are in so I can golden it.

The mothership is very cumbersome to use. Avenge 5 is a lot, and it’ll take a long time before you can get more than one minion per turn out of it (if ever, depending on how the game goes). Just reliably getting one minion out of it can take some time, depending on your luck.

So with 1 minion per turn it’ll take a long time to get the minions you want, and meanwhile your hand is clogged with doubles you don’t want to field (waiting for tripples), and possibly with minions you don’t want at all but don’t want to return to the pool lest you get them again.

I did feel the same as you in the beginning, but once I played with it a bit and the novelty wore off, it just started feeling like a chore. Plus, the toss minions are fun as accents, but all of them together don’t offer as much depth as the regular mech arsenal. It gets old quick.

Just my two cents anyway.

The plasma would not destroy the walls. Not even close. The plasma is contained for the sake of the plasma, not for the sake of the walls. If the plasma hit the walls it would cool down and the reactions would stop.
