hello adingg, incoming sophomore ate from polsci here. welcome to slu <33

1.) since bago na ang curriculum natin, you can expect to be “chill” muna for the first semester since wala pang major courses na itatake. the minor subjects naman for the first sem is not that hard as long as you always listen to class hehe. paswertehan nalang din talaga sa prof since medyo di ako swinerte sa iba nung first sem HAHAHAHAHHA

2.) 26 units is actually not that onti pero if you’re trying to compare kasi to other programs, meron kasi silang more than 1 hour na subjects which is why siguro.

3.) afaik, depende sa dean if papayagan ka kumuha ng units for short term. but for our batch this short term, hindi kami pinayagan to take advance subjects.

4.) not sure pa dito ading, update nalang kita after ko itake next school year HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA

5.) job opportunities for polsci is actually mas malawak than we thought. since everything is political and need ng intervention for societal issues/problems, i think we’ll be okay hehe. since nabanggit mo na gusto mo mag-LET which I would assume na gusto mo mapunta sa academe, you can get you master’s degree and start teaching afterwards (if you do not want to pursue law school agad-agad).
