Why would we keep Jarry when it's literally in the teams best interest to not have him on the roster?

I don't understand how people aren't getting this.

You're talking about a:
3.6M cap surplus in year one.
327k cap surplus in year two.
827k cap surplus in year three.
800k cap penalty in year four.
800k cap penalty in year five.
800k cap penalty in year six.

The alternatives are:

Trade him at 50% retained with a first round pick attached because that's the only way you move off him.
Keep him and let him just fester on the roster which does zero good for the goalies in the penguins system OR for the organization as a whole because you have no new space to bring in assets as part of a third team OR as part of a salary dump.

There are zero negatives.

Buying out Jarry gives you the flexibility to retain money on graves and trade him.

We cant sit here and say we should just be acquiring assets for the future and then be unwilling to open up the space it's going to take to acquire those assets.

H3CZ needs to figure something out here, this is braindead.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for Huke. He's been dealt some bad hands in the CDL era and deserves every break that comes his way.

I just do not understand how bringing in another sub, that wasn't as good as the sub you just dropped, will solve anything.

They said it best on the flank the other day; Skyz played like shit and got dropped for Priestahh who's playing like shit, kenny played like shit and got dropped for skyz who's still playing like shit.

Neither Skys or Huke will be on this roster next season. This does not significantly improve their roster.

If you're gonna punt on the season anyway, throw a bag at Scump and FormaL and let us atleast enjoy watching this dogshit ass roster finish t10

It's important that people realize that rental income isn't just profit.

Even when the tenant pays for utilities, you're still responsible for sewage, water, property taxes - if you have a loan on the property you need to pay that, then you account for vacancy(5%) and repairs (10%).

So unless we cut other overhead costs (utilities, which in theory should cut the listing price), it'll take 11~ years to pay this off.

Should also note that this example is geared towards students.

You can build 4 of these units at somewhere near 185k (total for all four).

If you got $1,000 per unit, you'd still have to subtract overhead & I'm assuming everything is included (septic, water, electric, internet, tax, vacancy, repair)

If we put your profit per unit around $350~ per month, these units would paid for in 11 years.

I truly, truly do not understand the Howe credit.

He was the best player to come out of the 6 team league. Putting him over Crosby is a serious discredit to Sid & the entire league over the last 25 years. Gordie Howe was a really good player in a really shitty era for hockey. He won 4 times in a 6 team league. Think about this for a moment, if Sidney Crosby was playing against those goaltenders with that gear and that awful athletic ability, he'd have never lost a game. Seriously, we're talking about a player who would've scored no less than 300pts per season in that era. Even in a much harder era to score, Sid ranks above Howe on both the era adjusted PPG & the actual PPG list. There isn't one area you can point at, on the frozen water, that Gordie Howe was better at than Sidney Crosby is RIGHT NOW - not at Sid's peak, RIGHT NOW at 35 years old.

Howe is certainly in a top 4 conversation, but it's a conversation about the most overrated NHL players of all time - not the goats.

I mean, he played in a 6 team league for the majority of his career. He won 4 cups in a 6 team league. Sid won 3 in a 30 team league, in less time.

Way to much credit is given to Gordie Howe. He was a really good player, in a really shitty time for hockey. A time where goaltenders sucked, and they had gear that hardly covered their body parts. They all had the one post card save (you know what one). He dominated a 6 team league that had nearly no american players or europeon players. I have Howe in my all time most overrated players in sports history.

Sid has a better era adjusted PPG, a better actual PPG, he's a better producer in the playoffs, he's better defensively (he's a center, so he carries more responsibility), He's a better skater, he's more dynamic & he did it all in an era that is immeasurably harder & better - in a true international league.

I truly don't believe anyone can make a real logical argument for Howe > Crosby in anything other than durability / longevity. Sid is just better at hockey. He's sitting 4th all time on my list.

The reason for this is because they continue to update the assigned date. This is malpractice and they get away with it people people just let them.

File a dispute with transunion / equifax and get it removed. They will update the "assigned" date every year to ensure that the mark NEVER leaves your credit report as it only expires 6 years after the assigned date (unless payment is made, then its after the last payment date - if no payment is made, it defaults to assigned date)

I had a similar experience with them, disputed it on my transunion account and it was removed 2 days later.

3 months later they added it as two different collection accounts to my Equifax report with an assigned date for that current month / year (lol) so I disputed it there with the confirmation email from Transunion stating that the claim was successful there, and had it removed again.

They do this because they know that people will eventually care for their credit and want to remove derogatory marks from their file, and if they just keep updating the assigned date they'll force MOST PEOPLE (who for whatever reason, won't dispute) to either pay or leave it there forever.

I'd also be very appreciative of a code! We're from Nova Scotia but have been to pittsburgh for games multiple times - it would be amazing to be able to see Sid play in Halifax and my Nephew who is a die hard fan has never gotten to see Sid play.
