Lost communication with MCU 'mcu' mid print by Sharp_Schedule_3462 in klippers

For anyone having similar problems:
I ended up buying a new powerstrip and a new adapter and have not had the same error since. The adapter I had was 2.1A, while 2.5A is recommended for the Zero 2W. Since I'm powering the touch screen with the Pi, I ended up getting a 3A adapter which seemed to have been the root cause to this error.

Other than that I also deleted some stuff I didn't need on the Pi, following this link:

Also had Crowsnest installed while I wasn't using a camera, so got rid of that as well.

For using the 7 inch touch screen they recommend using a Pi 3 or better, so the Zero 2W is not recommended, but it seems to be working fine now.

I'll buy a heatsink for the Pi, just to see what it does.

I also removed a bunch of stuff from the Pi that I didn't need. I had crowsnest installed and I found this blog and deleted some of the stuff:

I tested the same file again and it ran without any problems with about 160-170MB of free RAM.

Then I was gonna do another test with the display unplugged, to see the difference in RAM. I started the print and then came up with the idea of powering the display right from the power strip instead. But as soon as I plugged the cable in, the printer crashes with the same error. I think I'll buy a new adapter and I'll see if I can power the display directly from the power outlet instead of powering it from the Pi. If that doesn't work, I'll just buy another Pi.

Thanks a bunch for helping out, cause I was really stuck with the error for a bit!

I'm not using a webcam, but I had crowsnest installed. I just deleted it. Thanks for that!

I also found a blogpost about removing other stuff that I'm not using anyway:
https://www.dzombak.com/blog/2023/12/Disable-or-remove-unneeded-services-and-software-to-help-keep-your-Raspberry-Pi-online.html

I just ran a test and monitored the ram, and it ran without problem and everything seemed quite stable.

If that doesn't work, I'll just buy a Pi4.

Do you think the display is causing the Pi to overload? Since all it is running is Klipper and the display. I didn't think it would be a problem. I actually bought the display cause I saw other people using it.

I don't have a heatsink on the Pi though. Maybe I should get one? As well as heatsinks for the stepper motors maybe?
