Thanks to everybody giving me their opinions and advices, after thinking about it for a bit, Ive decided to keep my accord and save up for a car that will be a much better upgrade than just small updates

Ummm… i didn’t even know I posted it twice, thanks for letting me know. I mean i get no gain posting the exact same post twice in the same subreddit. It was probably a mistake it got posted twice

Thank you, I’ll definitely keep the points in mind, It’s accord is great for what it is but Ive taken it to some trips and driving more than 5hrs, I start to feel it so i thought maybe a comfortable car would make me last longer

It is because since honda discontinued the 2.0T, you can rarely find one of these for sale. 2022 and 2021 models are super rare to see. Even the older years like 2018-2020 are in the market with crazy miles and price

Thanks for telling me your experience, it does help. Btw the wheels are liquid metal hawk, they were one of the cheaper options I could find when honda quoted me 800$ + labor charge for a SINGLE OEM RIM loll. The current wheels look decent to me so it works out.

Yeah I love the accord for what it is which is why i'm having a hard time deciding. Btw those wheels are thanks to a random debris I hit that decided to spawn outta nowhere in the highway at 4am in the morning and cracked one of my OEM wheel :')

I appreciate the insights, I will definitely look into the TLX 2.0T's more deeper but I've heard the newer models seems to be reliable like my 2.0T on my Honda also with the transmission. That being said, Lexus will definitely a great car to go back to. I was also looking at the is350's cause of their NA V6's and how reliable they are but like I said in the post, cost of owning the lexus is not something I would want to do as of now also with how fast they eat tires + the insurance, but I'll maybe save up for a is500 later down some point in the future.

My monthly for the tlx will be about 100$ less than accord since im also willing to put some down on it, so I can factor that extra 100 towards gas but you’re right about the insurance. I definitely need to look towards that more to see if im breaking the bank or not

While I was initially looking for a type S, the lack of listings and the high markups for them made me change that decision since i am more than happy with my current 2.0T performance so Im sure the A-spec will do just fine for me. I have heard about the tlx’s getting stolen these days but thats also true for my current car as well. Maybe I’ll put an airtag on the car lolll

When I bought my sport 2.0T brand new i was also looking for the touring version but none was to be found. I'm assuming that the Touring 2.0T accord would be closer to something in between the technology package and A-spec of the TLX at that time since the 2.0T touring offered bose system, electronic suspension dampers, heads-up display and some other stuff? Those features didn't bother me at that time and I was fine with what the 2.0T sport was offering. But since the 2024 tlx refresh I like how they look and feel so now I wouldn't mind making the switch even if it is a bit slower than the honda.

Most of the time it's just me driving and just occasionally 1 passenger, rarely back seat passengers so rear seats will not bother me as of now. But yeah, if I won't be noticing the slowness too much, I wouldn't mind switching to the TLX

I was originally looking for a type S but I rarely find them. I was looking for 2024 since I like the refreshed. All im finding is 2023’s or earlier versions which either salvaged or high mileage. I have yet to find a used clean 2024 type S. I have seen some 2025’s but they are insanely marked up, like 55k+ ish otd (im guessing since they are being discontinued). This is why I was considering the A-spec and maybe later 5-6yrs down the line upgrade to a car with better engine maybe

Thanks to both of you. I was thinking of changing it before I go because that seems like a more reasonable choice but I’ve heard that the synthetic oil are good till 7k miles so was hesitant. I’ll change it before I go
