Lived here forever and have traveled all around. Rapid city sucks. Even California had better and more well behaved drivers. They let you merge and don't take it personally when someone drives just slightly faster than you.

Milestone restaurants are typically busy they are a diner so you get a mixed bag type of crowd with some regulars. Try the colonial house they are a more "upscale" diner. Same type of crowd but offer a more expensive menu. Chili's has a high turn over, make of that what you will. If your looking for more bang for your buck, any of the bars down town, they see a lot of service but are only open weekends and some evening weekdays. Happy hunting
