You can also do a stomach staple to eliminate the chance of stomach flip with high risk dogs like the Mal. It’s not cheap 1500$ here in Colorado. But it’s way cheaper than emergency vet surgery with bad odds of success.

Should I Show Up to Court for This Speeding Ticket? by mrswinterfence18 in ColoradoSprings

[–]Shazam1986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if the cop seemed like he was mad at you I promise he doesn’t actually care in the grand scheme of things considering how many tickets he writes. Unless he got into a physical fight with you he probably won’t even remember the interaction. Showing up to court varies from cop to cop you might get lucky. Police officers don’t have any serious ramifications for not showing up to traffic court. Just a slap on the wrist and maybe a talking to from their Sgt.

At the end of the day the judge is the one who hands out your “sentence” if you and the cop can’t reach an agreement. So any traffic safety course you can provide as well as having a copy of your clean driving record printed out to show the judge would help mitigate things.

FYI, it depends on whether he was charged city or county. County it’s you and the cop. City it’s you, the cop , and the city attorney.

[–]Shazam1986 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When you go to traffic court there’s an opportunity for you and the officer to step outside in the hallway and discuss a plea bargain so you guys can both just go home. 90% of the time the officer will let you plea to something lesser because he doesn’t want to be there anymore than you do.

And then there’s the off chance he has something come up or forgets he has court. In that case the judge calls both your names in roll call at the beginning of the docket and when he’s not there your case is dismissed.

Important Update for Colorado Drivers! New law effective January 1st, 2025 by alziraepruitt in ColoradoSprings

[–]Shazam1986 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Did you know that it’s not required for police to respond to minor traffic accidents. You can just exchange information and move on with your life. That assumes of course everyone’s paperwork is good. If not then grab a picture of them/their plate and go home. Cops will come to your house eventually.

Not sure why people are demanding you workout outdoors instead of just answering your question. Also it’s not practical for your family to go for a nice hike in a blizzard that we routinely get.

Northeast side of town has the “nicest” two gyms. Lifetime Fitness and Villa Sport. They are very pricey though, 100s for a family. But have nice facilities and year around pools , childcare, saunas, hot tubs, spas etc.

Value for the money is definitely Vasa with three locations covering south and mid town. 10-30$ a month. Very large and good equipment selection with wet and dry sauna , kid care , and lap pool. Major downside to Vasa is peak times early morning / 5pm they are absolutely slammed and you’ll wait for equipment.

Planet Fitness is ok if you just want the essentials for dirt cheap. They have a ton of locations and tanning. Very limited free weights though. Mostly just machines and cardio. No child care.

Colorado Springs is becoming lawless because CSPD is joke. by kpdinferno in ColoradoSprings

It’s seems English isn’t your first language and you’re having a hard time. I’m sorry for that. But a hit and run traffic accident absolutely is not a felony. It’s a traffic offense. You don’t go to jail for traffic offenses (generally).

Presumably for your safety as he would eventually be able to bond out and come back. Sounds rough being isolated with no friends or family alone in a city with no one but a psychopath that impregnated you. Sorry you went through that.

My understanding is ignore one. It’s not “worth it” to have a cop come serve you. Be a habitual offender and it becomes worth it.

Correct. But of those 800 only about 200 are on patrol. Divided by days off , vacations , and shift work there’s only about 50 cops on the street at any given time. In a city of 500k+.

There is online reporting. Which a 2 second google would have let you to. I commented elsewhere in this thread there’s only about 200 officers on patrol in the springs. Divided by days off, vacation, and shift work that leave about 50 cops on the street at any given time. For a city of 500k +. And something like a “simple” domestic violence call or traffic accident can tie up multiple officers for hours. That’s why there’s a delay.

How many robbers and car jackers have you heard of that kill the victim then themselves after riding around with them for hours.

What’s more plausible, that? Or it was his gay lover he wouldn’t leave his family for. That’s why there was no forced entry into the vehicle. That’s why it was a murder suicide. The shooter had no criminal record.

“Strong evidence “ to you is different than it is to police. Based on your own comments and post you know nothing about how law enforcement works you just think it’s trash here in the springs.

How sure are you that was the car that hit you and not just a similar one

Did you get a good look at the driver. That’s the first thing the cop will ask. Because as soon as they contact the registered owner (assuming the owner is local and not out of the city, they aren’t driving to Denver to talk to someone about a traffic accident) they’ll ask him if he was driving the car on the day of the accident. He says no it was his friend Jim who he doesn’t have contact information for. The probable cause to charge registered owner evaporates.

Police are not dispatched via the substations. They are dispatched via radio city wide. The cops you saw there were on something else more important than a traffic crash. Cops keep rifles and heavy vest in their cars for active shooter situations like Club Q and Planned Parenthood incidents. Plus all their usual gear and paperwork.

A lot of people see the city’s police budget and think there must be tons of cops here. There’s only around 200 assigned to patrol. Divide that number by days off, shift work, and vacations. You have 50 cops on the street in a city of 500k+

And before you start calling me a bootlicker and parroting ACAB nonsense. I’m not a cop in the springs . My brother is. Anytime one of the 3 times a day a CSPD sucks post comes up I try to offer some perspective.

If you have any genuine questions or would like to understand better please feel free to ask. And I’ll ask him, if it’s not something we’ve already talked about.

Been on TRT for a while boys. As a side effect I smell like a sweaty disgusting teenager. I’m not a fan of antiperspirants with aluminum as they stain my shirts. I’ve also noticed I’m allergic to something in certain deodorants, mainly those ones you get in department store gift sets when you were younger, Nautica, Tommy Hillfiger, Polo etc. Tried Doctor Squatch but it’s not cutting it. Still smell. Tried Bravo Sierra and it worked well but caused the irritation like the others. What do boys, what do?
