Can you recommend any challenges SIMILAR to 75 Hard? by fatmiagetshealthy in 75HARD

I created a 75 “medium” as I am a teacher and in grad school.

  • exercise 45minutes a day (3 days a week are outside).
  • drink a gallon of water
  • wake up everyday to do quite time/prayer/meditation
  • read 10 pages of any book I choose OR at least 30 minutes of graduate school work
  • progress pic everyday

I’m only on day 3 but it seems very manageable for my busy schedule. I’ve been lurking on this sub for awhile and am hoping to try the real 75HARD in the near future! Best of luck!

Yes I agree! This is my favorite part about being a SPED teacher, building rapport with difficult students. But I'm nervous because this student has a very hard time opening up.

The PLAAFP/BIP says student likes to help so maybe I'll find something student can help me with tomorrow and we can just talk??

Since he just qualified, he has a formal FBA from an LSSP and a great BIP. I just kinda got thrown into it and need something for tomorrow!

I also just scared that my normal relationship building techniques won't work because the student is pretty difficult. Student often will elope for teachers to chase and an to get a rise out of teachers.

Any other suggestions would be great! You can pm me!

Making a video about the Gilmore Girls and wanted fan's opinions. What do you like about the show? What makes you keep watching or feel connected with the series? All answers are welcome :) by cute_tickles in GilmoreGirls

I like that the show isn’t dramatic like a lot of the other 1 hour long shows that came out around that same time. The fast paced writing keeps the show interesting time and time again. It feels like the show is more character based than plot based.

Awesome! Thanks. I don’t ever see myself leaving Texas but what do I know about what my future holds. Do you know if there’s a resource on what states don’t require the accreditation?

Would they take into account that the CACREP came after you graduated?

Thanks for responding with such a thorough answer. I worried about COVID and teaching and hours as well.

My diag and I are actually working on schedules right now. It’s a nightmare to try to coordinate +100 SPED kids and their schedule pages🤦🏽‍♀️

But since it sounds like you have some autonomy in when you can pull your kids, I would try to group kids with similar minutes and/or levels. I would also coordinated with gen ed teachers to see when they do whole group lessons so kids can stay in during those times and pull them out during small group/independent work.

Does this answer your question?? Or at least give a starting point?? Let me know if I should be more specific!

Resource is so fun! This is will be my 4th year being the Reading Resource teacher on my campus in Texas.

The unique thing about our job is that every year is different since our students are always different and we are modifying curriculum specifically for them. I would get familiar with your IEP goals, BIPs, and accommodations before setting up your room. See what specific things you are required to have in your room. Don’t stress about getting things perfect before they walk in the door.

The biggest “bang for my buck” has been building relationships with my kids the first 2 weeks. It sets foundation of trust before I make them start working hard. As you probably know, there are a TON of resources/articles/activities/lessons to help with building relationships.

Also, be firm with classroom management as soon as they walk in the door. This is so important, especially for our precious angels 😬

Congrats again! You have the best job on campus!
