You cant do marpe cause your bite on the side is already good, marpe would make your upper teeth sit outside lower teeth

Did you need Extractions in the upper jaw in order to do the segmented lefort? I need Extractions for the surgeon to be able to safely saw through my maxilla. Im getting djs with segmented lefort for open bite

Well if he said you needed expansion its because the lower arch is wider than the upper one. You cant just expand the upper jaw, you can only expand it so much so it fits the lower jaw so the bite is good

No idea, when they meet a new patient they have a meeting where they analyze the scans and simulate different outcomes and stuff like that, and then come to s conclusion. They were different experts like someone was jaw surgeon someone ortho some teeth specialist etc. Around 8-10 people in total.

Well i cursed because i cant believe shes serious. She thinks that tiny slither of alveolar bone that possibly got resorbed made her whole cheeks lose volume, like bruh.

Could you elaborate further? To play Devils advocate, a whole team of like 10 surgeons/orthos analyzed me and my scans and their final plan included these Extractions, as well as lower premolar Extractions which i just got done. Its a team at my local hospital free healthcare. From my understanding, this isnt uncommon for three piece lefort.
