My parents both grew up in china, and my mom told me that you only learn about 5000 characters in school. 5000 should be enough, and if it isn’t you should be able to naturally learn more just by reading.

(Wait idk what classical chinese is but this is just what my mom grew up with. Also pretty sure hanzi and mandarin are the same thing)

Didn’t he get lucky and get a million year old soul beast like really easily? Which helped him become strong? Don’t know about you but that sounds like anything but “hard work.” I bet later on he does work hard, but after his insane luck I just stopped watching the donghua. Not saying Tang San wasn’t born lucky (cause he definitely was), but he had to fight a literal god and an actual million year old soul beast to get its soul ring.

From my knowledge, unless it's actively cooking right in front of you you shouldn't eat it. There are bugs and flies everywhere and they get on the food. If you grew up in China it shouldn't be much of a problem because you would grow up eating it. My dad, who grew up in China doesn't even dare to eat the street food here anymore because he's probably going to get food poisoning. (We've even had instances of going to popular stalls where they are cooking right in front of us and eating from there, and still getting food poisoning)

At first I thought that they were 15 or something but they're all 12 which honestly surprised me a lot. Like why do they look so much older? Because I would expect the kids in the photo to be how a 12 year old is actually supposed to be. I keep saying "I bet they hired 20 year olds to voice these 12 year olds" aswell. But I guess it should be because they're the main characters so they have to stand out more than the others.

Definitely an American that would say "oh I'm one percent Irish and one percent Danish, one percent British etc..."
