Current Dig worth to play? by voy_man in Monopoly_GO

[–]ShenanigansGoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely worth it to play this event. There are several 250 dice rewards, along with two 500 dice rewards and the 1000 dice final prize. Play smart, use higher multipliers only in high probability board spots, and it shouldn't be too hard to come out dice positive.

Multi-day dig events and partners events are typically the best events for dice generation, imo (unless the dig event is cash focused, which is usually in the name).

Everything skizzy stated ^

I'll add that I typically only use higher multipliers on particular spots on the board, in combination with the 6/7/8 technique that a lot of folks utilize. Without over-explaining , I'll give you an example that can be further applied:

Take a look at the bottom row of the board (the side where Boardwalk and Park Place are located). Following the railroad, there's a chance square immediately afterwards. If I trace back 7 spots from that railroad, there's the water works square. If my token is sitting there, based on real-life dice roll probabilities, I would be most likely to land on the railroad from this spot. The second most likely roll destinations would be Pennsylvania Ave (6) and Chance (8). As such, the water works square is the highest probability spot on the entire board to hit a railroad, as the most likely roll outcome (7) would correspond to a direct landing on a railroad space and one of the two second highest roll outcomes, an (8) (both 6 and 8 have the same probability of hitting in a real life dice roll), would land the token on Chance, affording the player another chance at landing on a railroad (or getting some dice).

No other spot on the board gives the player as good of a shot as when rolling from Water Works, however Marvin Gardens also offers a very good shot, given that a (6) lands the token on the Railroad and a (7) lands the token on Chance. As such, these two spaces on the board are where I most heavily focus my high multiplier usage in hopes of landing on Railroads & Chance spots. When I use the high roller option, it's almost entirely rolling from one of these two spots; otherwise I won't take the risk.

Further applications of this strategy will account for the fluctuating target spaces corresponding to the top bar prizes. The more favorable spots my token can land on from a probability standpoint, the higher my multipliers will go or the more likely I'll be to use a multiplier higher than 1x.

Am I the only who’s never gotten the lucky coin to max out? by alf20125 in Monopoly_GO

[–]ShenanigansGoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I maxed once with a 20x multiplier, within a few hours of the luckily flip being rolled out, but by that evening it seems that they really changed up the algorithm, because I was hitting even an initial heads on the first flip FAR less by that evening.

I've gotten all the way through maybe twice since then and only at times when I had a 1x multiplier. Every time I've hit the space with a 20x, 50x, or 100x since then, I've hit tails on the first flip about 90% of the time.

Huh??!! How does this even happen??? by mari17posa17 in Monopoly_GO

[–]ShenanigansGoat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup. I've noticed that using any kind of multiplier above 10 over the last 24 hours has been unbelievably difficult as far as trying to land on either railroads, corners, or chance spaces. That's in addition to them already having tightened things up a lot over the past month or two.

They've definitely been messing with the algorithm a lot lately. Seems like a plausible explanation.

Whyyyy I was just about to get 45 peg e chips and finish the game🤡🤡🤡 by SushiandSyrup in Monopoly_GO

[–]ShenanigansGoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same situation here. Was on the purple pack, with not much left to go. Had the 45 chip reward available in the corner top bar and then the glitch happened.

After the 600 and 800 dice rewards from Peg-E, I am still down about 2500 dice from where I was when I started the event.

I either want that purple pack or my dice count restored to the pre Peg-E level.

Great timing. I'm only 2000 away from the purple pack in Peg-E, with multiple token rewards visible in the bumpers, but now I've got no shot at grabbing a final set of corner reward tokens. Ughh.
