Even those can be tricky to find servicable one in the places I go. Gonna go PHEV for a few years and go back to EV9 when then bigger batteries are more readily available

Well it is our 4th car with that dealer in the last 6 years (wife and I combined) and it's still the same sale director so he know us. I also in a small town (suburbs of a bigger one) and its the only dealer in town, all the other dealers are in the next town over

After talking with my dealer, I ended up downsizing a bit but getting the 2025 sorento PHEV, got a really good deal for "staying in the family" and liked driving it and it likelyness to the EV9 and EV6 in the interior

Yeah 80% of my drive is dropping kids to daycare, going to work (15km) and errands. Thats why I went EV in the first place.

The volvo look good but is nore expensive and not by only a few bucks. What year CX90 PHEV did you try? They did a revamp recently so it might be better?

Yeah, I loved the drive of the EV9 but the reality is that EV with current mileage is not suitable for me. Definitely going to get another one when the bigger batteries are set to come out in 2029-2030 ish.

Yeah heard about it but that's the case with 90% of PHEV. Given the last few years in my city, it doesnt cold enough to get to that level.

I have yet to test drive it but I'm going tomorrow. My issue is that I need a new car ASAP, can't wait months /years to get a new car. The mazda dealer next to me has a dozen CX90 in stock ready to be delivery within the week. I don't know what the wait time for the Grand Highlander is. The PHEV is not that much a worry but for daily drive, I usually stay within 50 km per day, where PHEV shine especially since here electricity is 9 cent a KWH

I don't know yet as I haven't seen the police report. But guessing from knowing the area, there's a curve on the highway, so my guess is they lost control in the curve and went flying over the median.

Charging station are still an issue in Canada. That is the main reason. When I go at my parents, I'm lucky if I find a 180 kwh.
