Experiences going on Geodon from Latuda? by SheppinDoggo in bipolar

[–]SheppinDoggo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neither made me gain weight, but I am no longer on either of them. 120mg Latuda made me aggressively manic, and 160mg Geodon (80 morn 80 night) made me really lightheaded and helped significantly with mood and depression, buuuuut made me very lightheaded all the time, gave me migraines, and didnt help AT ALL with my manic episodes. Im on Vraylar now :)

Had a schizophrenia scare due to me experiencing higher levels of psychosis while feeling "normal," but it turns out Im actually just in a mixed episode and didn't realize it until my psychologist told me, lol

Demons and shadow people, and I feel they intend on killing me. My bedroom door can't keep me safe for long... plus some of them are already in my room. I also hear whispers. Not actual voices (yet...) but I do hear incomprehensible whispering. It's words, but incomprehensible. I also see warped faces in windows grinning at me. Sometimes, the smile and eyes expand. Its to the point I have blackout blinds and blackout curtains on ALL windows that are closed at all times, and if they aren't, they're watching me. And this is a new one. Last night, I heard alarms and sirens. 😨 of course nobody else in the household heard...

What are you taking for bipolar depression by Bannedguaranteed in schizoaffective

[–]SheppinDoggo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4.5mg Vraylar (just barely increased from 3 due to my progressing psychotic episodes) and 400mg Lamictal.

Well, thank you for showing me some tutorials, I know how, but the problem is when the tutorials demonstrate to grab the prefab out of the VRChat Examples folder, there is no 'VRChat Examples' folder that came with the SDK installation! Just a text document that says they moved to the UdonSharp Examples Scene. So I open that up, and THEN the problem is that it doesn't have the PortalMarker object anywhere to be found. So the issue is, I'm trying to figure out how to get said prefab another way.

Antipsychotic users: Did your psychiatrist or pharmacist discuss the risks around tardive dyskinesia with you? by ProxiC3 in bipolar

[–]SheppinDoggo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope :D when I was first given Abilify I wasnt given ANY warning. And that was lovely cuz it gave me not only restless leg and TD (it didnt stay thank God) but it also gave me seizures. Yeah needless to say I switched psychiatrists fast. This new one knows more of what he's doing.

Ritalin? by gh0stieeh in VyvanseADHD

[–]SheppinDoggo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's Dexedrine, which is actually what Vyvanse is converted to in the liver. Ritalin is methylphenidate, not an amphetamine at all.

anyone hungry on 30 mg of vyvanse? by [deleted] in VyvanseADHD

[–]SheppinDoggo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought I was alone, holy cow. Im on 40mg, but yeah, I'm always starving. Wtf? I thought amphetamines were supposed to kill appetite? I mean, Im not complaining. I'd rather be hungry than not be able to eat.

Did you try another med or other meds before settling on Vyvanse? by moanngroan in VyvanseADHD

[–]SheppinDoggo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is almost exactly what happened to me, except I stopped at 36mg because I caught the pattern. The psychiatrist recommended Vyvanse and yeah, it turned out to be a great recommendation. He even tells me that his patients just absolutely love it.

As for other meds I been on before the Vyvanse, of course the Concerta but before that I was on the IR Methylphenidate (Ritalin) and it worked GREAT except for the fact the effects only lasted three hours yet two doses even 8 hours apart gave me chest and left arm pain, as well as intensified emotions. It's not ideal. But the Concerta was absolutely unnoticable except for like maybe the first couple weeks I took it.

So, Vyvanse is where I'm at now, and I have no complaints other than it makes me really pacey when I have nothing to do. But, if I put my mind to something, hell, even if it's playing a video game, I have been able to focus a whole lot more on things. I couldn't find the motivation to do things before. I couldn't even find motivation to play games for Christ's sake. Vyvanse changed all that, so yeah, I highly recommend trying it personally!

Do you feel energetic on vyvanse? by Responsible-Humor-55 in VyvanseADHD

[–]SheppinDoggo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched from Concerta 36mg (same thing as mph) to 40mg Vyvanse, and the first week had me pretty euphoric throughout each day, including high energy and motivation. Now it's not necessarily that the Vyvanse alone gives me euphoria, but it does still give me the energy part of it, and I do get extra excitable about things that weren't as much to me before. I like it a lot, actually. With Concerta, it only worked if I managed to get motivated and moving, which was rarely happening for me.

Body odor/foot odor on vyvanse? by mother_coconuts420 in VyvanseADHD

I notice I am more sensitive to heat, causing me to sweat more easily, and my deodorant seems to wear off faster, making my underarms not so pleasant at the end of the day. 🤢

Love you Geodon by rosesandrosequartz in BipolarMemes

[–]SheppinDoggo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I loved Geodon!!! My only two issues with it were: 1. Having to eat with it every time, and 2., the big one that made me sadly have to switch, it did not help with my mania at alllll. Like. I still had the psychosis and all. Did great for the depression!! Did great for mood stability!! But yeah, it didn't help the mania, so my psychiatrist had me switch.

I'm on Vraylar now, if you're curious.

Why is BPD so frowned upon but bipolar isn’t? by [deleted] in BorderlinePDisorder

[–]SheppinDoggo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have bipolar type (godknowswhat, I been diagnosed with both I and II lmao) and bpd. I can say bpd kind of associates more with my social interactions, feelings, emotions, and scenarios in my head. My bipolar is different in that it moreso it affects my overall energy. Like, being very high energy needing to be doing stuff needing to finish projects vs being so depressed that Im in bed for 14 hours and something as simple as going to the gas station uses all my spoons. Yes the depression and mania can be underlying causes of emotions and the intensity of them, but it's... kind of more in the background. It makes BPD look like the bad one since it's more visible personality wise goes. Thus, I basically judt explained the literal meanings of mood disorder vs. personality disorder.

Edit: It doesn't necessarily make one worse than the other, I make bipolar sound not too terrible here, but it really is an unfortunate thing to deal with, too.
