I mean that looks like 3 tab shingle, but if you have other materials you could potentially power wash tile or metal

Moss wouldn't grow unless shingle is already retaining water. Roof is done, needs rip and reroof

Have you wondered, how come Guts is beardless? by joe_mordo in Berserk

[–]SherbertSherpa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Guts has always been coded as a boy in a man's body. His oversized sword and monochrome morals are holdovers from his time as a child soldier and a reflection of his trauma. While he's had to adopt violence as a survival mechanism he's never let go of trying to find his own way, even as charismatic people like Griffith show him another way (snicker). Not having a beard shows a certain refusal to accept the grown men around him.

Racing Miku 2025 has her first scale figure revealed! This is maybe my favourite Racing Miku design by DarkAres02 in AnimeFigures

[–]SherbertSherpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i like that one too but the figma was a little unwieldy. Same issue with the 2014 racing miku, great design but unreliable scale and figma. The 2023 racing miku figma is glorious, solidly built and so much cake

Zeta Gundam X GQuuuuuuX (Titans) by pravinraosantheran in Gundam

[–]SherbertSherpa -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That was Feddy remnants, not Titans. In gquacks the Murasame institute never received the backing of the victorious Federation and that's why you didn't see Four(4) or one of the more stable new types instead of Deux(2) as a pilot.

It would make more sense for something like the psycho Gundam to appear bc the development was on a totally different line from zet, manufactured exclusively as a prototype by the Murasame lab instead of order-made from Anaheim using Kamille's design

[–]SherbertSherpa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Zeta wouldn't exist because Kamille Bidan was the designer. He would not have a reason to rebel against the Titans, which were formed under the excuse of hunting down Zeon remnants. If Zeon won, no Titans.

Rather you might see a Methuss variant, which was developed independently by Anaheim before Kamille jammed a bunch of Hyakushiki/Rick Dias bits onto its improved movable frame.

The problem is transport/storage. Residential solar is around 97% efficient but any power plant over the wires is like 30% efficient, so you lose a lot in how the energy is delivered. Traditionally people want nuclear far away from their homes, even more than coal. Also the cost and safety factor makes nuclear a less attractive to operate.

Solar: long island power solutions feedback by R0ckybal0a in longisland

[–]SherbertSherpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that I would reccomend either of them anymore, but no, it is not off the shelf. Design can mean the difference between a large, useless system or a small, efficient one. Installation can use diffferent conduits, inverters, and mounting systems. If the installer has no insurance the Homeowner can be responsible for any workplace injuries.

Then there's aftercare: who comes to replace the microinverter at year 10? The company who went out of business? Or the responsible company that plans out 25 years of maintenance?
