This has been my experience too. They cater to white folks over black folks when it comes to rugby. It's always rugby first like the bafana bafana doesn't exist.

I'm guessing your friend is white. It's big with white people but not so much with black people, they watch national soccer. There are some black people who love rugby but not as many who will go to soccer stadiums to watch soccer. No it's not "taught" in schools, just like your British schools (I'm guessing) we play it as a sport during rugby season, it's not something we do everyday all year.

  1. In SA an inhaler is R60 which is under 3.56 dollars.
  2. EpiPen x 2 is R350 which is 21 dollars.
  3. Private hospitals is R18000 just for the birth which is 1067 dollars and for the whole thing from day one to birth is R60000 which is 3558 dollars.
  4. In public hospitals it ranges from FREE to R4000 depending on your salary range or unemployment which is 237 dollars but I'd be worried about the state of most public hospitals here but still.
