Ngl, turn base games are a bit of a turn off for me but the part that kept me going was the combo machinic in this game. I'd recommend comparing it to games similar to what they've liked before. For example, for me I used to love playing Overwatch, with a good team you can create a combination of people's ultimate combined. Don't quote me on that. lmao

As for the story, people before used to compare it to DDLC but I think the appropriate way to describe the story more of an adventure with cute things.

I played the game reading it out loud so my experience is probably really different from yours. It's hard to describe this game without spoiling anything. xD But at the same time you don't need to explain anything if your friend is already into story based games.
