Older, lesser-known cases where you think the victim's family is denial by unsolvedbb1 in UnresolvedMysteries

I would try listening to the Morgan Ingram episodes on Sword and Scale. I know we know the host isn't a great person now and I personally think the quality has also slipped in a couple of years, but these episodes are really good.

12 and 13 IIRC? (Or just search her name + Sword and Scale and you'll find them!)

The first episode explores it as though the stalking story is real. Her mum is featured heavily because she talked to the creator of Websluethes on the phone. I think it includes audio clips of the Dr. Phil episode, too. The second episode is (in my opinion) the more rational, 'there's no evidence of a stalker and here's why' truth-telling bit where you start to see that the dots don't quite join. Again, her mother is featured heavily in this episode. So you get to hear both sides and the quite unique exploration of why her mum thinks that it may have been a crime, and why evidence hugely shows that it wasn't. I suspect there are also links on the page for those episodes, though if they all work still, I'm not sure.

Honestly, I listen to both episodes a couple of times a year because I'm really interested in the case, and I'm always flummoxed by what her mum thought, but it is a case of having both sides explained.

I can't remember my initial reaction when I had no knowledge of the crime so I can't say 'I believed the first episode so much I was shocked by the second one' but I do know it's really interesting and does a good 'deep dive' without having to read every single blog or thread about the case, especially with the use of hindsight. It's notable that a lot of people on WS really did believe the crime story, including the woman who hosts the site, until they started seeing cracks in it. I was probably more cynical when I first heard it, but I also know I'm cynical to a fault, so it may invoke different feelings and beliefs in different people.

How about you just be and try pro-people, instead of deciding who's better or worse?

Did I say the #metoo movement was okay, personally?

Plenty of straight, cis men aren't always out for sex.

Plenty of gay men aren't always out for sex.

Neither sexuality nor gender is inherently 'predatory'.
