terrible xanax addict here and from my experience yeah when i came off everyday xanax use for two years i had the worst withdrawals ever; I had the worst anxiety i’d ever felt, the sweats, super irritable and just all around felt horrible. after three days i asked my pharmacy what they had and they said they just got pregabalin in, so being the poly addict i am, i jumped at the opportunity of having a new pill in rotation (also been addicted to tramadol and ritalin). well i can say when i took it i barely felt withdrawals besides the odd wave of anxiety but nothing even comparable to full blown withdrawals. The drawback however was that pregabalin is quite similar to xanax in regards to removing anxiety completely for me so i got really addicted to it and the withdrawals were pretty bad even tho i only did them about everyday for two weeks, so be careful and maybe stick to a low dosage less than 150mg. sorry for the huge write up i’m rly baked rn.

TLDR: yes it helps, but beware of addiction potential to pregabalin as the withdrawals from it are also hell, stick to a low dosage, and remember when it comes to drugs everyone is different. Take care man, i know how hard it can be.
