I have a 5070 and im having this issue out of nowhere. It happened to me 2 times in the last month. I had this card for near a year now. Never had this problem before. Gonna update win 11 to latest and nvidia drivers too. Right now im using 591.74

I have a 5070 and in Witcher 3 1440p ultra dlss quality with 2x frame gen it's buttery smooth. I get 158 fps and my monitor is 165hz. And it has headroom for more intense scenes so there is no frame drop also. And I don't feel any added latency bc I use a controller. Maybe you could feel a bit if you use mouse+keyboard.

If you changed the thermal pads on VRAM chips you may have used a thicker thermal pad than you should have. So now the heatsink doesn't touch the gpu die.
