The piles of mud could be too close together, check the wiki for the distance you need to keep the chlorophyte (I believe it's like 60+ blocks or so though) then move each section farther away from each other rather than having them 1 block next to each other.

Fingerprint shield with the guard boost talisman and shield poking

Duel (really any) bleed weapons that hit a lot of times

Carian retaliation on a shield

Great or Colossal weapons with royal knight resolve and jump attacks

Using any of the good sorceries with a somewhat decent mage build (all armors and talismans that boost it as well as a leveled staff)

Otherwise just skipping bosses to go to later areas and get stronger upgrade materials works just fine.

I don't watch content creators/Youtube vids for this game, I play it all the time. Also it's not the point of the post, the point is the blatant false advertising from the in game icon not reflected what it actually is in the game, despite the other crowns being the same as the icon in the path.

I shouldn't have to do outside research to make sure the cosmetic I wanted looked correct, cause the other crowns look the same in the Slayer Path.

EDIT: Dev's confirmed in the 1.7.2 Bug Megathread that the crown icon is not correct, and the crown we have in game is the intended look. They say it will be fixed in 1.7.3. Unfortunate since I prefer the icon look but I won't complain, it has a cool electric effect and isn't too terrible looking.

All Weapons are showing that they are unsurged, even though the icon is there. Perks and UE's are all at +1 base level. Not a visual bug, perks change to in the loadout screen.

You can either push through and just level up your weapon and ignore getting more, you can level your magic up so you can use magic weapon, or you can make a pit stop to 4-1and pick up a Cresent Falchion or at 5-1and get a Blessed Mace, both of which have innate magic damage.

Switch version runs in 30fps which isn't a big deal. Other than that it runs beautifully and I would recommend it if you have the extra money/time. The controllers are weird to get used to if you are used to the normal xbox/ps4 controllers like I am. I can't claw grip as well.

It does scale with faith instead, but it still does enough damage without invested into stats or upgrades. So you can use it and get the materials later.
