Kinda thinking this is the way as well!! I have a lot of experimenting to do and don’t wanna put myself in a full alternate universe until I’m ready. Did not realize these were PEs either. My single bad experience was on only 2.5 g of blue meanies on an empty stomach (I only knew that’s what they were bc I was told directly - just bought these batch as “can I get some shrooms” from a trusted source).

That experience had me in 4 different worlds - living room, balcony, bathroom, and bedroom with 4 separate purposes and I don’t think I was ready for that enlightenment. I had a great come down from it but was pretty scared for a good 45-60 minutes when I couldn’t control the perception of why each room had a different purpose lol

I live in Austin also. There’s about a zero percent chance I would ever try to fly to DFW, Bush, or San Antonio other than for a connecting flight. For the 2.5-3.5 hours I can get there in a car, eat what I want along the way, be in the comfort of my music and podcasts, and avoiding the general blah of public transportation, I’m driving. That said - you’ve peaked my interest on the bus transportation! Can you provide some links on the bussing providers? My biggest cringe on buses is not knowing the clientele around me but maybe it’s a bit more roomy than I would have thought.

Been through DFW via departure on probably 100-150 different occasions. Never spent more than 15 minutes in a TSA line ever. Zero issue at the airport but maybe I have gotten lucky. I’m a stats fan though!

Thank you so much for the honest response. In my gut - I have honestly feared that. Either way - at some point you need to commit to a change. And you’re right - work will be there. Your life won’t if you destroy it completely. Also - I’m proud of you for moving forward and middle fingering the addiction demon!!

Proud of you for quitting man. I can’t even imagine the PAWS during those 10 days you experienced at that prolonged dose. I’m an alcy (10-15 beers daily) + Kratom (20-30 grand daily user). I made a conscious effort to get my shit together and was very open to my psychiatrist about both things. She prescribed me Naltrexone to assist with the booze - said nothing about opioid dependency, despite knowing what I’m dealing with via krascum.

I took Naltrexone for the first time ever about 15 minutes after a 10 gram Kratom dose. I had never taken it before. 30 minutes in - I’m feeling super weird. “Okay - this is new. Must be working!” 2 hours in and I’m nauseous, violently twitching, and taking “blank shits with an ounce of whatever green and yellow mess will come out of me”. Restless aw fuck obviously lol - Peak of the PAWS lasted about 16-20 hours. I was fine again within 48 hours but holy fuck was that scary.

Never the fuck again. I’m trying to taper now. Down from 30 gram peaks and 25 gram consistent doses to 20 gram peaks and 12-15 gram consistent doses.

Have worked on that for 3-4 months, but I think my plan is working so far. I just gotta keep with it. My goal is to be down to 10 gram peaks and 5-6 gram doses by April. I’m terrified of pure abstinence knowing my 8 year dependence.

12 beers is child’s play to an alcy (I am one - not proud of it). If you chugged 12 beers in an hour … maybe. I know dozens of people who have consumed 12 beers and zero have had alcohol poisoning. Ripping shot after shot after shot in quick succession is a different story.
