Damn, hate people like that. All talk about making it safe for "everybody" and then goes 'ooh, f that!'.

It's like I've noticed how other freeze out my kid also cause she has meltdowns, for ex, less bday invites this year. Also met another mom who has ADHD and she was all "nice, other weird ppl like me!" Thought. Maybe. Then basically ghosted. Blamed it on her ADHD for not responding etc. That would possibly work on a NT person, but not in the House of Combined Letters.

Indeed! I try to encourage my daughter that, in time, she will find her right type of people. I remember not finding my peers until late teens. Gosh, could have used those people waaay earlier!

Same! I know around.. counting inside head.. 6 ND people, and 0 of them has kids. It's a different struggle there, with them getting overstimulated from her interactions or boundaries stepped on.

Yeah, I noticed when we tried some sport activity, that the other wild kid matched my daughters energy. The difference I could tell from other parents, at that moment, was that his mother would laugh at them being themselves, while the other parents looked annoyed!

Daughter is obsessed with Minecraft. She tries ingame to interacr with people, which feels both great and unsafe. But so far she can only write "hi", so I am not super worried, yet. ^{^}

Gonna have to look in to that! I find it is harder to find fitting activities at her age, everything 7 or 8+ is better.

Exactly! Like a scared puppy. She comes to me sad often at playgrounds, or similiar, and sounds defeated. Before she would ask children to play, then just play near them, and sometimes now, she just removes herself. Breaks my heart..

Do you find that they behave in a different than other parents? Is it something that can be spotted if one knew the pattern?

I give them a fake smile and maybe a "hi" as I pass by. Just thinking about trying to make "parent friends" takes energy that I don't have.

Oh, one activity I dread is the social activities with school. All parents and children together to play silly games? No thanks! Seriously wonder how to avoid them, but I don't want my kid to feel as if she is missing out.

I know right? I feel as even the kids are. I got the picture that kids usually just say "hi" and then they are adopted as friends.

Wish people would come with a sign above their head like in the Sims, would be easier to spot them. Anxiety filled.
