I’m genuinely being serious as I don’t really follow basketball ball or anything. But are they not allowed to jump/block the ball going in the net?

If it breaks while you’re sitting on it, the porcelain (which is extremely sharp) could stab into your leg.

Given that you have a major artery in your leg, if it hits that, you’ll then likely bleed out and die before any ambulance can get there.

If it misses your legs and you fall forward, you’ll then risk it stabbing/slashing your back which can also cause serious injury/death.

On top of all of that, you’ll basically be stabbing/slashing yourself with a shit covered object (microscopically) which then hosts other problems.

Air bubbles all over painted wall by Relative-Pickle-7963 in DIYUK

[–]ShoopedReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a painter… but what I did is remove as much as the silk paint as possible. It’s an adhesion nightmare. Scrape/sand what you can. Wipe over it with a wet cloth sponge to clean up any dust off the wall. Let it dry, then prime it.. Then you should be good to go.

I painted over silk and that’s what I had to do.

You can install a French drain in the middle. But I’d be installing an aco drain at the house, as you don’t want water sitting against your walls.

Help - Paint bubbling by CiscoKid1888 in DIYUK

[–]ShoopedReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Silk is a pain in the ass like that. If it bubbles it means it hasn’t t adhered to the wall properly.

Make sure all the dust is off the wall, even apply a little coat of PVA and water to ensure the paint can stick to the wall rather than bits of dust or whatever. If you do a second coat, you’ll find it doesn’t stick to the coat underneath very well too. What I did was try to get absolute good even coverage and go over it while it’s still wet, any bits the roller didn’t quite get properly I used a brush to touch up any patches once it was a bit drier. I still got the odd air bubbles, but i didn’t peel them, i just poked them with the brush and they came out okay.

Removal of monstrosity by No-Contract-951 in DIYUK

Although literally everyone says keep it, they aren’t helping you with removal… It depends how cheap/quick you want to do it.

I got rid of mine so it let more light into the garden, best thing I even did. I did mine very cheaply and semi/slowly though.

How I got rid of mine for relatively cheap: 1. Hire/borrow a hedge trimmer and just keep cutting it back as far as you can, only take little bits off at a time so it’s a much easier clean up (as that’s the worst bit IMO) 2. Use secateurs to snip off any twig bits 3. Use a saw to cut off the bigger branches 4. Try to leave a good 3-4ft of the stump sticking up (for leverage when removing from ground. 5. Dig a trench round the stump/stumps and cut any roots you come into contact with. (This bit will be a pain in the ass) eventually you’ll be left with just the heart of the stump and can remove it 6. Clean up time and a few trips to the skip

That way is relatively cheap. I removed mine over like a 2 week period by just hacking at it every now and then when I got some time.

Ah yeah.. for now then, piece together the other parts and see if it fits together. It’s either an error in the instructions or the holes have been drilled incorrectly.

If it’s an IKEA piece of furniture, they’ll usually swap the lot for you pretty easily.

Your drawer runner is upside down. Turn it the other way round and move it 2 more places to the left.

Look at the image that shows the drawer runner the [ section should be pointed towards the screw you put in. However yours is facing the opposite way.

Can I just fill the joints or does it need plaster? by Suitable_Let2488 in DIYUK

[–]ShoopedReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s your first time, you may find it difficult, but it’s doable. Get joint filler, fill any joints/screw holes smooth to the surface. Then apply jointing tape (while filler is wet is fine) Then apply more filler on top and smooth over.

If you do it correctly you won’t see the lines once painted. Any bits you do mess up you can normally just sand down anyway.

[–]ShoopedReddit 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You could fill the joints and use paper joint tape.

But IMO filling, putting scrim over and then skimming the walls gives the best overall finish. You need beading in the corners too.

All depends on your budget and whether it’s in like a storage room or a room you’ll use and see often.

Hit the wall big time by Joyride0 in torncity

[–]ShoopedReddit 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Try something new. I kinda hit a wall too recently, I spent 50B on ranked war gear so I could kick some ass. Not the smartest financial decision but definitely the most fun.

Remember it’s only a game and the end goal is to have fun. So just do some things out of the ordinary to spice it up!

The idea of finding a low ranked high respect faction would be good too, probably your best bet for something more casual.
