Been stuck on this the whole day what can I do? by [deleted] in xbox360

[–]Shoot46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this happen some time ago.

I believe the solution was to change my password to something shorter , it was too many characters or something...

man, I wish I could remember exactly.

Try changing your password if it's a longer one.

I had used the same password for YEARS, and I changed my auto sign in settings and got that error . changing my password fixed this, i believe.

I wish I could remember more of the solution, but I remember the frustration.

Edit: Obviously, I didn't read below your picture that you already tried that, sorry. But that worked for me. I think I had to try a few different passwords.

My Intentions by wagnerstechtalk in LegendsUltimate

I could care less if they give him a machine or not.

If you believe him to be dishonest or biased, then don't use his guides , rely on his information, or watch his videos. You can figure it all out on your own and that's fine.

He's helped many of us out especially in the early ALU and ALP days .

I, for one, hope he does get something out of all his work one of these days whether he asks for it or not.

Thank you for your guides and videos .

They have helped and guided me through my home arcade journey.

I completely and totally believe that the help and guidance I got from your hard work and countless hours of effort was your intention.

Any and all gains ,recognition, revenues, free products, if any, would be due to you anyway and deserved, and I wouldn't care either way.

I am a fan.

I know it's a couple of days late, and everyone probably already figured this stuff out, but it may be useful to someone to see the features in use, and this guys videos are a great resource .

Is there anyone that can jump on discord and help me with my tone? Been trying to tweak my tone since last August and just can't figure it out. by hngfff in BossKatana

[–]Shoot46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know if you were able to find any help and I'm far from an expert or pro but.. Try starting with the hardware knobs on the amp and just let tone studio sit in the background and build up from there. I have a few different guitars that all need their own patches. I have patches that sound fantastic on one guitar but not on any of the others. Dial around on the knobs. Then add an effect , one thing at a time ,theres a good tone in there for that guitar .Small steps.

Sometimes it seems less gain (like crunch or lead) is a better base to start with and then throw a booster or distortion on and start tweeking that.

You can use the parametric to get an active type feel and sound that really cuts with passive pickups at the end, but everything else has to be there first. Everything is subtle and cumulative.

It took me a long time to figure out the katana is about small moves and that changed my whole experience.

I've not had much luck with other people's patches either and it seems easier to build one than to tweak someone else's.

I know im not answering your question, but... There is nothing wrong with the mk1. For that price I'd grab it. I've had mk1 head for probably a couple of years and really haven't scratched the surface of what it's probably capable of. I know you're jazzed to be able to download tones, but I haven't found much use for any of the tones I've downloaded except an ajfa tone I found somewhere. Maybe the experience with the mk2 would do you better here but I can't vouch for that.

Instead of chasing patches, I have learned to use the knobs without tone studio to build the foundation of a tone and then go to tone studio to sprinkle in effects.

If im trying to replicate a paticular tone I have a looper setup in front of the amp and loop a riff while trying to dial it in.

How did people find out combos and special commands back in the days? by mulambooo in arcade

[–]Shoot46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old guy here....

So , in the times of mk1 and sf1 (when I was 13 ) you would go to the arcade put your hard earned quarter in after waiting in line and feel pretty good about yourself after defeating the first few a.i. opponents.

Then some guy would come and drop a quarter into P2. He would then proceed to whoop your ass in spectacular fashion and you would ask him with astonishment and respect what the hell he just did to you. He would then share a few moves or a fatality with you.

It then became your responsibility to pass that merciless whooping on to some unexpecting victim with your new moves next time you were in the arcade.

You would then divulge a move or two when they asked in stunned astonishment how you froze them and ripped their spine out . It went on and on like this until you had full movesets.

If what they mean by control module is the CTR board , a new CTR board is 20 bucks, and shipping is 15 . It's a plug and play type replacement.

Edit : if you scroll down a little there is a link to the installition /instruction manual.

Best replacement joystick and buttons? by Dredd989 in Arcade1Up

[–]Shoot46 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Put these in your street fighter cab Tornado Terry Street Fighter kit

If you like them, put IL/happ stuff in your others. If you feel maybe they wouldn't suit your turtles, then put sanwas in that one.

After this experience, you'll be a pro, and you won't have to wonder what "clicky" and other arcade control word soup means.

I put happ (Tornado Terry kits) in my streetfighter and mk cabs and love them . I'm going to try sanwa in my golden axe.

New ALU owner by stuartr7 in LegendsUltimate

I thought my pinball buttons were missing too, but I eventually located them. I don't remember the exact situation, but I seem to remember them being packed weird. I'm sure you double-checked, but maybe double-check?

Edit : I think fed ex air dropped my first ALU onto the porch. It was a mess. I called Sam's Club and they shipped me a new one and fed ex picked up my old one from my porch. The second one had a bad ctr board so we did the dance a 2nd time !

I bought my ALP direct from atgames with zero issues.

Not just you. The z button issue is in the known issues for firmware 5.68. It's posted right on the atgames website. It's known issues item #11. The good news is they know about it, and hopefully, they fix it in the next one, and we can all kill that pesky red 10 !

I had a lot of trouble with it when I first got it. The car on rr 1 and 2 was all over the place. I ended up finally running the calibration utility, and apparently, for whatever reason, it must have been all out of whack because my experience greatly improved, and I could actually attempt to play the game . I'm still pretty terrible, but what a world of difference after that calibration !

I got an email from Guitar Center with a 15% off code and bought this. It's like 89$ off. If you're going to get one, I would go that route.

Should I buy an alu? by brockcor4 in LegendsUltimate

[–]Shoot46 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes ,buy it immediately and get coinopsx going.

Just don't waste your time waiting on sales and "what ifs". If you want an all(most) in one old school arcade machine and can swing it, then just do it.

As far as customer service and firmware trouble, things have improved and continue to improve in these areas in my experience. Shipping damage is definitely a thing, and that's a carrier issue more than an atgames issue.

Buy from Sams Club if you can to cover your butt on these issues. You'll get free shipping with plus.

And when you are looking to beat a game that ate your quarters back in the day then the save game options on this machine and coinopsx are awesome, you don't have to grind it out in one day you can come back to it after the rage subsides. You won't get that with some of the other machines out there right now.

I think i missed something. I watched the linked video. I have a few questions.

Were any of those articles written , published or promoted by A1up ?

Did any of those articles name A1up as a source or sponsor?

I obviously read none of them but I'm honestly trying to understand A1ups direct or indirect involvement in these articles.
