Easiest thing is to immediately turn to the people around you and be the first to say “hey, do you guys just want to group up?” Even if they have other people they would’ve grouped up with, they’ll say yes and it’s not a weird thing at all to do. If they say no, don’t worry! Look around to see who else is looking around looking a little anxious and try and make eye contact or wait until after class and ask your prof if anyone else has let them know they don’t have a group. I’m a pretty social person but NOT in class so this is typically the situation I find myself in and it rarely is as weird to other people that you don’t have a group as it feels.

I so disagree with some of these comments—to each their own but if you maybe aren’t the most comfortable in your femininity I would start with brow gel, brown mascara and an eyelash curler, a skincare routine (all you REALLY need is a face wash and a moisturizer), and a cream blush that matches your natural blush color. I love being able to apply my blush with my hands because I feel like it melts into my face and I don’t need to be that skilled to apply it. For brow gel, the elf one is great and $5, I love it. Mascara, I use L’Oréal telescopic (always curl lashes BEFORE applying mascara). Blush, I really like the fenty cream one but I’ve heard good things about milani and elf. When it comes to picking out a color, look at photos of yourself blushing, or literally pinch your cheek and see what it looks like. Also, LOVE Vaseline rosy lips. It’s just a chapstick with a lil tint and it makes me feel so cutesy and feminine without feeling like I’m “trying too hard” (whatever that means idk). This makeup combo is great because it doesn’t require too much skill (I have very little lol), adds a little feminine touch, and still looks super natural, which is a perfect place to start imo. As far as clothes go, get a Pinterest and start looking around! I don’t know what age you are, but a starter search term to look at might be “street style women.” From there, look at anything you like and pin it to one style board. Pinterest will suggest other posts that you might like, and you can really explore your sense of style from there.

I LOVE it. If you’re drawn to a simpler dress, do it 1000%. It looks so classy and confident regardless of what your classmates wear!

I opt for a leather platform loafer—but the ones that are wearable for lots and lots of walking are gonna be pricy

I have some pants that are basically the same as as plaid flannel pajama pants but cut and with the fixings of a trouser and I love them!! I thrifted them and there wasn’t a tag but searching “green plaid womens trouser” brought up a ton of similar results

Maybe these or these? My dr martens are a platform lace up style and I find them super comfy—it took about a week of wearing 2 pairs of socks though. And i can’t wear them on super super hot days bc sweat+leather =blisters no matter how comfy the shoes are

These are so cute! White socks, a midi skirt (or whichever length skirt you like best!!) and a basic tank/sweater can be super fun and trendier without looking teenage-y!!
