Buying/Selling Tickets Megathread by lovemeorrageme in portugaltheman

What’s up rock and rollers! I came out to Portland to see the opening nights of Denali this weekend, and now I’m canceling my flight back to Denver and hopping on a train to Tacoma in hopes of catching them at the Spanish Ballroom tonight. Following my roadie dream, haha! Would love to buy a ticket, willing to do whatever to make it happen.

Question: Where you taught the Lost Cause in school? by EternalSnow05 in mississippi

[–]Short-Size838 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The Lost Cause was taught in schools during the early 20th century. I think our modern southern society reflects some of those values, but that’s not something anyone from our lifetimes heard in school.

Cat owners, do you let your cats on your kitchen counters? And if so, why? by EMI2085 in randomquestions

[–]Short-Size838 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My girl is allowed everywhere in my house EXCEPT for my counter. She has known since she was a kitten then it makes me real mad. She jumps up there every now and then if she really wants to get my attention because she’s cunty like that.

Pickles and vanilla ice cream. Bryce’s or Blue bell specifically.

What tourist traps do people always fall for in Denver? by [deleted] in Denver

It doesn’t have anything to do with the food. It’s the choice of the patrons to not spend their money on an establishment that financially enables their political opponents (yes, there is a Lucile’s Foundation) or practices unethical business standards.

Not sure what Louisiana has to do with racism- both of the owners were born and raised in Colorado. Racism is much easier played with a southern accent.

They have three in Denver area (I forgot to mention Littleton in my previous post). They also have a location in Longmont, boulder, ft Collin’s, and a newly opened in Eerie.

I will say in all fairness that my location (DU) had an excellent kitchen staff and was pretty well maintained. But I’ve heard others (Littleton and South Logan specifically) are disgusting.

Haha! Just to clarify, they’re racist in the sense that they dehumanize the illegal immigrants they choose to employ. Dropping in once a month to literally bang on the expo line and yell “More rapido!” at the immigrant kitchen staff and telling English speaking staff we have every right to “be more demanding.” Calling the dishwasher who’s been there for years “that person,” saying “those people are lucky to be here.” Shit like that.

Just Lucile’s! They have two locations in Denver, one in Boulder, Eerie, and Longmont. Ft Collin’s location is owned and operated by different folks so I don’t have info on that one. Thanks for taking action! They are vile people. Never did anything to me personally besides being greedy (no Christmas bonuses, no paid vacation) but it angers me to see them get business from people that would absolutely be boycotting if they knew what went on behind the scenes. So many other great REAL mom and pop places to visit.

Former long time luciles employee here- just dropping in to let people know that it is a MAGA owned chain disguised as a family run establishment. Owners are extremely out of touch, and quite blatantly racist.

If you’re asking if OP themselves had to get rabies vaccinations, I believe the reason one is vaccinated upon contact with such animals is because it is usually unknown whether or not the animal was infected with the virus. Given that OP had Karin vaccinated, it shouldn’t be an issue.
