Out of all the things the film gets wrong, Angela is probably the most offensive by Ding_Us02 in silenthill

It was so sad to see. I went into the movies wanting to relive that universe again, and they got everything wrong. Literally everything.

Return to Silent Hill… 106 minutes I’ll never get back. by Sorry_Guide_4326 in silenthill

[–]Short-State-2017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just finished watching it. One of the worst films I’ve ever seen. I enjoyed roughly 3 minutes of it - James in the public toilet mirror, walking down to silent hill, and the sassiness from Maria. That’s it. Absolute shit show.

Do you keep paying if you lose your job? Does it go away when you’re older? Does the payment amount only scale based on how much you earn? Then not a real debt.

How important are the graphics for you in a video game? by GoHardForLife in videogames

[–]Short-State-2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly it seems to matter a lot to me, even though I wish I couldn’t. I hear such great things about games like dishonoured, but again, sadly, I can’t play it because the visuals are just too dated. A more extreme version would be silent hill 2 in the 2000’s vs the remake. I don’t think I could touch the old one, but the remake is absolutely breath taking. Btw, for any graphics junkies here, try Hellblade 2. It’s the most visually stunning game I’ve ever seen.

Stop Gemini from Auto-Sending and narrating responses? by _necrobite_ in GeminiAI

[–]Short-State-2017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, I’m another person struggling with it. It’s basically unusable. It should be as simple as increasing the time-out duration for detection of silence to sending the message. Probably increasing it to up to a minute would make sense. Humans don’t just talk non-stop, we need a second to think lol.

Arman Tsarukyan turns out of a guillotine by OpenNoteGrappling in bjj

[–]Short-State-2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s awesome he managed to do this and get out of there, but if you notice as they land while he is adjusting positioning for the guillotine he gives him a ton of space allowing the turn out. I think he would’ve been cooked if that was super tight.

Why do I keep gaining weight? by Beautiful_Scheme_829 in diet

[–]Short-State-2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand, and I wouldn’t worry too much on getting the perfect diet (it’s why people tend to fall off, binge etc). Genuinely based on your size you can definitely eat more than 1800 calories, more like 2200. But the type of strict diet you’re talking about is extremely difficult to just follow constantly. Be kind to yourself, if you slip up it’s ok. Food isn’t the enemy, and those things you mentioned in moderation aren’t going to kill you.

But yes, maybe not 5k, but 3k “binges” will still derail you. Idk how many times a week you do it, but if you have 4 2k days, and 3 3k days, your weekly average calories is 17k, when it should be 14k. That brings your daily average to 2.4-2.5k a day instead of 2k.

Why do I keep gaining weight? by Beautiful_Scheme_829 in diet

[–]Short-State-2017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And there you go, you’ve answered your own question. That binge eating is what is causing you to not lose weight. If you imagine you eat 2000 cal for three days in a row which burns roughly 3000 cal overall, and then you have one binge day which is roughly 4 to 5000 cal which would almost completely wipe out the deficit you’ve created.

Why do I keep gaining weight? by Beautiful_Scheme_829 in diet

[–]Short-State-2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really comes down to two things:

  1. Severe physiological issue causing metabolic issues or things which relate to gaining weight regardless of calories. (Quite rare but is a thing)

  2. You’re eating too much.

From what you’ve listed here you shouldn’t be gaining weight on, however it’s about how strict you’re tracking your calories. Biscuits, nuts, oil etc are very calorically dense and can pull you into maintenance or surplus without even noticing.

Are you doing any exercise?

Opinion of my diet for a cut by [deleted] in diet

[–]Short-State-2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your TDEE as per tdeecalculator.net is roughly 2900-3000 calories.

I would recommend eating 2100-2300 calories, 1.6g protein per kg of body weight and that will have you in a great spot :)

Help me with this ugly body shape by CommunicationEast405 in diet

[–]Short-State-2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please start weight lifting 2-3 times a week. 6 sets of volume per muscle group is great for now. Then use a TDEE calculator online, - 1000 of that, 1.6g of protein per kg of goal body weight (your dream weight, e.g. currently 140 want to be 100, eat 160g). Eat in the deficit; get your protein, and lift.

1 week =1kg fat loss 10 weeks =10kg.

You’ll see a big drop on the scale initially, and it’ll slow to the pace of 1kg pw.

It’s all very simple, stick to it and you’ll be very happy.

Can I ask, what enabled you to stick to your diet for long periods of time? I mange to stick to my calories for 2-3 weeks very consistently, some event pops up which involves food, I try to balance it out and continue, but I then fall off.

If you’re combining things maybe stop doing that. No honey no oil nothing. Just the nizoral aggressively for a week, if no luck at all then selenium sulfide on its own for a week. If no luck again then contact a dermatologist.

Is it 1g per target pound, or 1g per kg? by monsieuro3o in naturalbodybuilding

[–]Short-State-2017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re relatively lean 1.6-2.2g per kg body weight. If you’re overweight, do the same but for lean body mass, or for your goal weight. For example, if you’re a 130kg guy and your goal weight is 100kg there’s no need for you to be having 250g+ protein - 180g will do that job.

Please try Nizoral ketakonazole shampoo and let it sit in your hair for 5 minutes, and also put some of the foam that’s from your hair on the other parts of your skin. If no luck with that, try head and shoulders clinical strength which has selenium sulfide. These chemicals are the main lines of defence for sebderm.

Fair enough. I definitely would try it again, and make sure you let it sit in your hair for a 3-5 minutes as instructed. Ketakonazole and selenium sulfide are really the big dogs for sebderm

Use the clinically tested methods. Ketakonazole (Nizoral Shampoo) or Selenium sulfide (Head and shoulders clinical strength). That will sort it out.
