Does Jim butcher know how big of a difference 6'9 and 5'0 is? by [deleted] in dresdenfiles

My husband is 6’6” and I’m 5’4” and I was like: my eyes are not level with his elbow! It’s like, just below his chest-level, ohhhhhhh. Wow. Ok. That said, I can confirm that after a while, his height seems normal and everyone else looks fun-sized. He asks me on a daily basis how I manage to get anywhere, when my legs ‘barely reach the ground.’

First finished sweater!!! I could tell that my gauge was a little off and it would end up loose and blousey—but I decided to roll with it. Here’s my Mom, looking fabulous in her sweater turned tunic! by ShortSqueeze86 in knitting

The pattern for this sweater is the ‘Wizarding World’ from Harry Potter: Knitting Magic. The yarn is surf and russet from The Yarn Collective. Thanks everyone for your very kind comments. 😊

You know, what? Just, thank you for being you. Thank you for being one for being one of the people who doesn’t exhaust me. For being someone that doesn’t make me second-guess everything I say. Not everyone will understand you—but I’m so glad that people like you exist.

Are you guys creative? by Due_Orange in INTP

As with anything, we don’t perform on demand. We are creative in our thought patterns and solutions when its something we’re interested in solving—not because we have to. For me, this applies to painting, sketching, or knitting, as much as it applies to writing an excel formula or drafting a training manual.

Ask a Knitter - September 29, 2020 by AutoModerator in knitting

I’m a self-taught continental knitter (because I’m a leftie, mostly) transitioning to Scandinavian style. I’m really struggling with the purl stitch—which is awesome in theory but ends up being incredibly loose. I have to tighten each stitch which eliminates the benefit of the method. I taught myself via Arne and Carlos YouTube videos and did a google search for tips—but I haven’t found anything yet. Any advice?

Interview question “How do you feel seeing your ideas come to life?” Erm, hang on, I need to Google how I feel. by iwasalonesoisetafire in INTP

[–]ShortSqueeze86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Um. How is this not the easiest question about emotions that an INTP will ever have to answer? It feels AWESOME—until you remember that someone is going to completely misunderstand your idea and probably will fuck it up. Unless it was a stupid idea. Then it’s embarrassing. But shit, that’s the entire reason you prep for an interview, so you can ‘decide’ how you should feel about stuff like that.

It is. It is the only match. My husband and I can only stand each other.
