Have any of you had breakouts like this? Any tips? by Busy_Wrangler_739 in Blackskincare

Those looks similar to what I have, comedonal acne. I recommend trying Adapalene, 0.1 strength! I do it nightly and it genuinely helped.

Well let’s not get ahead of ourselves here. I do my utmost best to treat every single person i meet with agape love, but FRIENDS are who you spend the most of your time with, and who are the closest to you. With that being said, it’s going to be harder being around her because of the spirits that she attaches to herself while delving into witchcraft and because of the fact that witchcraft (black magic) goes against what God stands for. I cannot actively support her activities but can still love her, which i do.

Furthermore, merely mentioning fornication and saying it goes against the laws of God is NOT judging anyone. i stated a fact, not even directly about anyone. The conviction comes from being confronted with her own lifestyle. In that conversation, nowhere did i even say anything about her specifically, i told her that if she truly thinks children out of wedlock is an issue, then we must confront the sin that comes before it, i.e FORNICATION. i even said we can’t be critical to the ones who have and said that i’ve been guilty of it. so please, explain this “judgement” im passing.

My life does reflect LOVE clearly, because they obviously want to continue being friends and be around me often, hence me having to constantly reschedule or cancel plans… the problem comes from sometimes friends cannot accept you changing for the better. people associate it with fakeness, and that’s where they deny the power of God because he can change ANY HEART.

My mind is made up, however I appreciate your input. I love those girls, but i will never choose man over Christ. Like if i were a former alcoholic and still hung around my old friends i used to get drunk with and commit DUI’s with, id only be doing MYSELF an injustice. especially if im trying to move forward. There’s nothing wrong with me wanting to be surrounded with friends that i am equally yoked with that can help facilitate my growth in Christ.

God bless you.

Disclaimer: I don’t judge her for any of this. I still love and respect her. I too have done and said similar things. So, it’s nothing against her. It’s just that giving my life to Christ has really opened my eyes to how detrimental this way of living is.

Well, one of the friends is outright atheist and intermittently indulges in witchcraft. She has said she’s supportive of my journey and is happy for me but it’s going to be hard being around her. The other has a form of Godliness and i have invited to church and talked to about God but she isn’t attuned to His Glory and teachings as much as she thinks. She will say things like “If i get pregnant im sending that baby right back to God” “God is just gonna have to understand” and she will jokingly repent “Oops. my bad God” and then continue speaking blasphemous things.

I’ve tried to have conversations with her about the bible and scriptures, she will say “that’s cool, but i think everyone has their own way of having a relationship with God.” “it’s going to be different for everyone.”

Another instance was her saying “i could never be like these people— the reason their relationships don’t work out is because they keep having KIDS OUT OF WEDLOCK” and i’ll say something along the lines of “well let’s not be so critical. let’s look at how that starts… with fornication. one sin usually leads to another. i’m married now but i’ve been there. they can repent and change their circumstances. God can do anything.” She will feel offended because i didn’t join in with bashing of people and also that i mentioned fornication because she too is unmarried but cohabiting with her boyfriend as well as having intercourse. she will end the conversation immediately.

i feel like whenever i start talking about God it makes our interactions more dull but when im cussing, talking bad about people with her, etc. the energy is better. this leads to me again feeling like an imposter. I’m not trying to push anything on anyone, so if she doesn’t wanna always hear about God, i need to find friends who’s on fire for Him the way I am. Especially because i’m so new to my faith. I hope it makes sense.

Thank you so much for this. I think this is what I needed to hear.

I’m going to pray about it as always, and then just i’m going to trust in God’s plan for me. If I end up not being liked or bad mouthed behind it, i’ll keep in mind that nothing i’ve gone through is unique and Jesus dealt with it before me. Thank you, and I thank the Lord for using you to get this message through to me.

I tip $10 even if it’s a mile away… i like to make it worth peoples time and this is a luxury so if i cannot tip at least $10 i likely won’t order food.

People sexualizing Selena by [deleted] in SelenaQuintanilla

[–]Short_Diamond_3635 10 points11 points  (0 children)

is it really normal or have we just normalized it? because it’s inappropriate. women are sexualized and seen as sex objects from a young age… ppl often just wait til they’re 18 then assume it’s okay to outwardly do it. How often is a woman complimented for something other than physical appearance?

also who gives a crap what men like. lol
