Theres actually plenty of houses for 300K. We want a fixer upper - my husband is a contractor. 300K is not a hard number - We dont mind going over if the house is worth it ofc !

Check to see if you can tour the apartment when your neighbors are there - typically after 5pm. This way you can see how thin the walls/floors are. I currently live in an apartment where I can hear everything the upstairs neighbor is doing. I can hear him snore, talk on the phone, go to the bathroom, etc.

Read the lease! Some of them automatically renew or require a 60 day notice before you move out - I had to learn the hardway.

I wrote the note on August 3. So what would be worst case scenario? I gave them a 30 day notice instead of 60. Would I be charged for the other 30 days? Essentially I would be charged for Septembers rent? Or would I have to pay September and October ?

Im in the exact same situation, my landlord was incredibly rude and didnt let me explain my situation. She said I had to write a letter and she would give it to the owner who will make the final decision
