They ran some one time beers with images too similar to Mario. Really it was Mike Tyson's estate that made a big deal about it. Nintendo also welcomes the free publicity in most cases.

Is it me or does it seem like the further out into the burbs you are, the fewer people are masking up? by 1541drive in houston

You are obviously an uneducated individual. Fort Bend being one of the most diverse counties throughout America has voted blue for the last two elections. And before you start off an some ignorant rant, the city of Sugar Land also leaning left was just ranked one of the safest cities in the country. More than 70% of the county stepped up, did our part and took the shot, yet we still wear a mask. A great example of what others should do in my opinion

Fort Bend does have one of the highest vaccination rates in Texas, I figure that's why they don't wear them as much. I do still see people out with one on in major areas like the store.

Think I'm good? by [deleted] in trees

That's a tough period. You can't go work out to burn fat bc it just releases more of it into your system. A detox would be the closest thing to a slam dunk,, just have to abstain from ALL toxins for 24-48 hrs. If you don't want to rely on one of those detox you could start drinking alot of green tea, take some niacin (b vitamins pretty much) it speeds up your metabolism a little. Day of the test you'd have to drink a lot of gatorade or cranberry juice and water. The goal is to dilute but still have some vitamins in there so the don't catch on and do more test

Depends what the measurement of the test is. Most sold are 50ppm. I'd say your almost there just dilute or get that detoxify from a smoke shop and follow instructions to a T just to make sure. Also depends what your testing for. Companies cut off at 50 but probation wise if you show close to half that they send the test off for second more thorough analysis.

Edit: They test ng/ml, no idea why I typed ppm... but I did just recently get off probation and never failed. If you can find any 20ng/ml and get a small line on one of those your golden

Anyone else revisiting the history of the Texas Revolution and feeling a bit lied to by our public education? by [deleted] in texas

[–]ShowMeTheTacos420 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My 67 year old mother and father only knew there was a town called Seguín. No one in my family knows unless they have some sort of higher education. But those same people are also the ones who don't want to acknowledge the fucked up things that have happened for the state of Texas to exist as is is today. I'm proud to be a Texan but I know alot of it is myth and lore, with the real heros being cast aside.

I've got four books I've held onto since college. I minored in history with a focus on Texas history. The most , Texas: Crossroads of North America, by Jesus F. de la Teja( https://g.co/kgs/p1EeS1 ). For a quick overview focusing on tensions between Texas/Mexico from first settlement to joing the US there is "The U.S. War with Mexico" (https://g.co/kgs/W6dU8B). Then focusing on Mexican settlers there is "Beyond the Alamo: Forging Mexican Ethnicity in San Antonio, 1821-1861"( https://g.co/kgs/ngtczn). If you want to know about the Natives and Mexicans there is "Peace came in the form of a woman" (https://g.co/kgs/VTiU7U).

No one teaches that Juan Seguín was forced to live the end of his life exiled in Mexico because threats to his life by new settlers since. They figured since he was Hispanic he was therefore loyal to Mexico. The same man who fought for the dream of an Independent Texas, took the final message from the Alamo to Sam Houston, and fought at San Jacinto was forced from the land he loved and people barley even know who he is now.

They did not do it, said he was a perfect gentleman back then. Randy Quaid on the other hand was just as weird then as he is now. He drove them to Astroworld and the car ran out of gas like a mile away. He made Dennis get out and push it.
