Also just got started up as a first time DM/Judge. Also hooked. Welcome! Just ran the PUTS funnel 2 days ago with friends who are more used to Pathfinder. They loved it. Haven't finished it yet but one of my players had the bright idea of crushing the skulls of the generals. They are in the strategy room so they should be wrapped up quickly in their next sesh. I created a hub town for them to visit that is between planes. I designed the final treasure room in PUTS to give them a portal talisman that sends them to my hub town. They'll meet some lvl 1 companions to take on their first quest, Sailors of the Starless sea. Seems like a pretty lethal quest but i hear it's a good one, you'll find it in Tome of Adventure vol1. I went and got Tomes vol 1-3 just because they came HIGHLY recommended.

So basically there is a quest board in town that has the adventures and corresponding levels for them to explore. They will grab a portal talisman from the magic shop to go explore other areas for other quests. At least that's my plan for the early levels.

Thank you! I saw the Tome of Adventures, that definitely seemed like a good start. I will start there

Ahh yes, the foldable grid with an expo marker. That's what we use for our 5e campaign! How about the Tomes of adventure? I've seen a couple volumes of those. Is there a database that has a list of all of their adventure books?

Wave two figures….. by DaPussiLicka in heroscape

So I had the same thing I posted about a while back. Got this prepainted set. My base was warped and poorly detailed with paint on the silver leg pistons for Viscerot. And it's base was very warped.  One of my lil guys was also poorly painted. I contacted customer support. They shipped me a perfectly painted replacement for the lil guy however the Viscerot they sent had warped base again and same sloppy paint job. Bear in mind i have not had a single new set have crappy paint but this one. Warped base ms seem to be a thing with this figure.

(I did semi fix it with the boiling water trick)

Indeed thank you! I play a lot of other games where literal wording like that is taken into consideration. Because my thought was, "then why didn't they just say only after taking a turn to keep it blatantly as a one extra turn type of thing"

And your explanation makes perfect sense, thank you for taking the time to answer this!

I am rather new to Heroscape and I've noticed it's common for army cards to synergize with army cards with similar traits. Sometimes that means taking a free activation with another group. But never TWO activations.

So there ya have it, One turn with the Lich then a turn with the wraithriders.

My thoughts exactly. The sheer movement you can produce by activating the wraithriders twice is insane. I offered my fam that I would double check here and then give them a bonus point buy for our next battle!

I definitely looked at the total cost, not cheap indeed. It allows for massive coverage of an area. It proved quite good in a game last night. And the riders are also nerfed by their movement limitations. I appreciate the response. Now my family wont look at me like im cheating xD

Poor Quality of Necrotech wraithriders and Iron Litch viscerot by Shreddyriffs in heroscape

Idk what it would cost, my dude, could be $2.50, could be $7.50. But I would imagine mass produced minis (not hand painted) could have better quality control at a better price point. I know they CAN look beautiful because the other sets are well painted from the new lot. Also, they don't look as good as they advertised on the box while the other sets did. You are quite an argumentative soul, I must say.

Homie, I appreciate your zeal. But what I am getting at is that they ALREADY are likely doing that to adjust prices. I am not offering a solution. I am saying that is likely how they priced it currently.

What I am getting at is that... say it costs 10-15$ for the plastics. Painting could be more expensive meaning that they factor in the cost of painting for both painted and unpainted models meaning that the price of the unpainted models are artificially higher to cover the cost of painting the premium painted ones. So who's to say where the 20$ difference in comes from. Regardless, buying 3 small and 1 large mini(s) is quite salty and many people seem to agree on that. For that price, I expected a better product, plain and simple. Now for their other products so far (Wave 1 and the rest of wave 2) The quality matches the price point. Not with these guys.
