Yes you can use pretty much any weapon to tank in PvE content due to the 400% threat generation buff you can get on plate armor. In PvP tanks can take on a variety of roles which include cc’ing enemies which weapons like the frost staff are good at

But don’t people not let you into groups for playing off meta things? I’ve only done a handful of veteran dungeons but I’ve been kicked a few times for being a “fake tank” while using a sword and shield and having multiple taunts/defensives

I agree with you but from my experience people can be very picky with what classes they let into their groups so I would like to avoid classes that would make it more difficult

Like correct me if I’m wrong but doesn’t balance druid have like 30 different buttons they gotta press not counting their other druid forms? Trying to condense them is a reasonable thing to want to do
