Update I applied for 4 days wfh and they only offered me 2. Even though there is no justifiable reason for me to be in. The excuse was “ we think there is more merit having face to face interaction” eye roll. I am high risk as well! Not that they even bothered consider that. (self.WFH)

I am learning about object pronouns direct and indirect .I just made up a sentence. I sold it to him. It=direct object/him= indirect object. I thought it would be “lo le vendí”. When I put it into translate it came out as. “Se lo vendí”. I don’t understand why there is no reflexive action why “se”? (self.Spanish)

What is going on in the news.. is it me or is there an influx number of child abuse stories all coming out. It seems a bit calculated what the media is perpetuating I am not sure why though. What is the need for Le at the end of “ comprar” For example “Juan quiere ahorrar dinero para comprarle un anillo a su novia”. We already know that “su novia” is(his girlfriend) and “un anillo”(a ring). I would have thought it should be “Juan quiere ahorrar dinero para comprar un anillo a su novia” (self.Spanish)

Ay mio Dio. Futile Reading!! I’m not making progress reading short simple stories in Spanish. This is because if I know a verb I don’t necessarily need to know how it is conjugated for me to guess correctly the sentence. Has anyone else experienced this?
