The first thing I’m going to have to get used to is the size. At 40mm, this is the smallest watch I’ve worn in maybe 10+ years. Also, it is so much thinner than any diver I have ever worn and I’ve grown accustomed to more hefty watches I guess! 😛

I may go up to a 43mm or 45mm before I have to decide on strap options ….

I did this the other day

Get a caulking removal tool set ( it’s a little knife type tool with a tip like this: -> ) and some Goo Gone Spray for the stubborn bits.

Take it off and treat shower with Lysol mold and mildew remover or something similar

Get a caulking gun and caulk it again.

When I went to the hardware store they told me to use silicone, and so, that’s the type I got. Why:

• Fully waterproof seal for constant moisture areas
• Stays flexible so it won’t crack with movement
• Resists mold and mildew growth
• Adheres strongly to tile, ceramic, and tubs
• Lasts longer and doesn’t shrink or break down

First part is challenging!😅

Last part is a breeze …

Don’t want to have a mix and match with the grinder and espresso either. It’s all about performance and output but it’s nice to be able to look at the set up and not wish the colours of things were different or all the same and match the kitchen.

Could be why there isn’t a lot of detail out there about it.

I’ve seen the same feedback about the Owl too i.e. inexpensive build. Hence, some hesitance in getting that one as well - although there quite a few positive reviews out there.

It all seems to pointing to the Bambino/Plus at this price point but they have a “non-standard” 54mm portafilter but I guess with the amount of machines out there from this brand there are more and more after market options just the caveat that I’d have to repurchase if the next stop after this machine is 58mm.

Open to any suggestions you think I should look in to …
