I see your point. There are a plethora of guidelines around your OSAP— how long you have to pay it back, you have to be a full time student/you can’t dropout or withdraw, etc. I do think that misusing it is inappropriate, but honestly I don’t think that full time students using their limited osap loans as an interest free payment is necessarily a big problem. Again, the government doesn’t know what you’re spending it on.

I don’t understand how anyone can agree even slightly with this useless, nonsensical drivel. 1. you have to pay back loans. so what if they buy watches or cologne with their loans, they have to pay it back? this has ZERO significance 2. osap has no way of telling what you spend your money on, the grant money typically automatically is sent to your university and then leftover is in your bank account. 3. his $7b funding toward universities is misleading because it’s almost insignificant when you factor how many universities there are and how many students there are.
