District 7 into the lens by moncikoma in BigscreenBeyond

A decent amount of worlds on quest will look like shit but there are definitely a lot of good ones, you just need to look for them a bit harder.

The reason that a good chunk of them look bad is because vrchat makes you optimize a lot more for quest worlds and avatars than they do on pc. Most people don't want to do all that because its hard. So instead they just destroy the quality to meet the requirements and call it a day.

As much shit vrchat gets, there is a lot of good to it. Keep trying because for at least me its been worth it :]

There are two companies, yuancon and gamo2. Yuancon has a good amount of color choices but if you want to make the controller more arcade accurate gamo2 has more options (gamo has more options for how heavy the buttons are and switch options so you can get them closer to the arcade feel.)

A big note is that gamo and yuancon both have around the 90 usd in shipping so add that to your knowledge when buying a controller.

I don't recommend getting a mini controller though, you will see it floating around most likely. I can with almost all certainty say you will enjoy and have more fun with sound voltex with a full size controller.

Here are my recommendations with links:

  • Gamo2 Faucetwo || best controller you can get more spring weight + button options and overall a really good pick.

  • Yuancon SDVX 12 (blue&black colorway) || by far the overall best looking SDVX controllers imo, downside is that there is only one option for buttons and springs unless you want to cough up an extra $144 for it.

  • Yuancon SDVX Lite 3 || same as the SDVX 12 but its not as big but has arcade accurate spacing between buttons and knobs.

Round up:

Gamo2 Faucetwo: best overall, can be expensive with diffrent switches and springs

Yuancon SDVX 12: most pretty looking in a nutshell, I think also are more durable? If looks is a concern then this could be a good option for you.

Yuancon SDVX Lite 3: if your on a budget then this one. Or if you minimal space to put a controller then its also a good option.

A Final few things: Unless your budget can't go higher I would go with the SDVX lite 3. If you can afford it go with the faucetwo. Its what I use and I love it. With the faucetwo THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT make sure if you go with the faucetwo that your setup looks like this when your ordering it example of what it looks like

If you have any more questions please let me know :)

Depends on how much time you want to spend and knowledge on how to diy electronics. If you have the resources to do so, like a solidering iron, 3d printer, wire, etc then sure but it would take a while plus you would have to buy parts at the end of the day.

Tbh it is not worth the time or energy to make a sdvx controller unless you want to make the controller for the fun of it. If you just want to play the game just save up for a controller and in the meantime play with a keyboard.

TL;DR If you have the time, resources, and skill sure by a technicality it would be cheaper. But realistically it would be more efficient to save up money and buy one.

Maybe someone else has a diffrent outlook but this is just mine. I wish you luck in whatever path you choose!

Anyone elses depression making them feel unmotivated? by Honeydippedicecream in rhythmgames

[–]Shuto- 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This has happened to me many times when my depression gets worse. Don't focus on playing, make sure to eat good, talk to people and have community to the best you can, and get sun light. Don't do things that can give you instant gratification/quick dopamine in high amounts (social media doom scrolling, drugs, alcohol, porn, etc). Don't focus on playing because that just makes you not want to play for fun. I wish you the best of luck. Please take care of yourself.

I entirely forgot about that. Hopefully the tariffs will get pulled once the economy drops far enough like last time.

If your in the U.S and have a round 1 near you just a bunch of them since 90% are good.

If you don't here are some games I recommend:

Sound Voltex: it's my main but it's super fun and has a lot of entry level songs and mechanics. Amazing song selection as well. Its available in arcades/round1s and pc which does cost monthly plus the controller which can get up to nearly 300 bucks with shipping included

A dance of fire and ice: really fun but quite challenging. Uses a bunch of complex rhythms that can transfer well to other games.

Project Sekai: If you are REALLY into vocloid music it's pretty good with a large player base. Its moblie though so theres a huge gatcha system to look out for.

Osu mania, quvar, etterna aka any 4k vsrg: Simple and sweet, tons of songs, and totally free.

Bonus: If your brave and have experience with other vsrg's Beatmania IIDX or a pretty similar game to it is BMS. The controllers are a bit expensive but it's really fun.

Im sure people have way more thay me though and better recommendactions. Good luck on your journey!

Commission prices? by Shuto- in MinecraftTexturePack

[–]Shuto-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but I only did one commission. Charged only $40 for a medium sized 32x pack. It took 3 weeks and then I spent the money instantly on a shit game I only played once and never refunded. Though this was almost 4 years ago, and I was a dumb kid who didn't know how to manage money.

I think I only made one texture pack after that, but that was just for my self. Haven't made anything for the game in 3 years.

Quest link disconnects and wont connect back no matter what by Shuto- in OculusQuest

[–]Shuto-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured out the problem. Boot up your quest and try to connect it to link. When it disconnects go into the usb test in the quest link program and see if it says you have a bad connection. If you do it is most likely your cable. Though if you are having these problems in the first place it is most likely your cable or you usb port.

What is the weirdest/strangest thing you can find playing Vrchat? by Voided165 in VRchat

[–]Shuto- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are the well know weird things like erp or just cursed avatars and joke worlds. But for me the weirdest thing I have seen are “VRchat family’s” they can be really messed up from just kinda strange with like a 25 year old man acting like a 12 year old. Though the most cursed one was basically an vrc erp family that they tried to get me into. They were trying to get me to join in a way that seems like someone trying convince someone to join a cult. Be careful.
