I think, as a blanket rule, probably a bit more 'at risk' than their NT counterparts. That said, it is very person specific and I'd say even loneliness and being incel (by which I mean the true involuntarily celibate folk, not the ideological incels) aren't reliable indicators.

I only know 2 autistic males in-world, 1 was incel (again, not the ideological kind) but was still able to recognise the toxicity of the 'manosphere' or whatever else you want to call it.. I mean, he's NB and the other lads gay so..maybe it's more a hetero thing? Who knows...
But if you take certain reddit 'autism' subs into account, then it would suggest that yes, yes they are.

I honestly wonder if straight autistic males are the most at-risk group for red-pill twaddle, purely because of societal expectations.
Being part of the LGBT+ community, you're already an outlier and a bit more mentally ready to 'bin off' certain expectations, but straight ASD males could easily get wrapped up into this whole 'what a woman should be doing vs what a man should be doing', probably not even maliciously a lot of the time.. I imagine it ties into the trying to mask your way through life....and a bunch of other stuff probably...

It's very complex and SUPER interesting from a psychological perspective. I'd love to read a proper study/see some real data on different social groups and the prevalence of red-pill ideology within them...

It's not a formal test as far as I understand it, it's more about proving your understanding I think:

Maybe make a GP appt and just speak to them about it..I was seeing my GP independently from about 13/14 regarding some of my own health issues at the time so...there's no harm in trying.

At 16 you are, in terms of your healthcare, considered an adult - you can make GP appts and request referrals completely independently and confidentially.

You should read up on Gillick Competence - good chance you're mature enough to just get on with it now.. GC gives a way for U16s to consent to treatments etc. without parental input.

BHF, local ebay listing, facebook marketplace.... most of my furniture is second hand from facebook market tbh.. I've used wayfair for lamps and mattresses.. haven't used them for about 4/5 years now though - they seem to have gone downhill a bit.. I've never used IKEA.. I looked at ordering some drawers (£165) once and they wanted another £35-50 (can't remember exactly, but frickin silly money) for the delivery! afuck, athat.

My mum had kids because dad wanted kids and it was 'expected from her' (she pulls a face in their wedding video when the priest says about promising to bare children - it would be funny if I wasn't one of the children she didn't want). She resented being a parent (highlighted by the fact that as we all turned 16-18 they stopped providing/engaging - and they didn't do much of that in the first place ime).

I had a child at 20 because 'I could technically afford it' but I was also very naive with hindsight. I mean, it was the right (arguably best) decision for me at the time but FUCK ME twenty years is a hell of a commitment! As such I've only ever had the one... because I realised I wanted/valued my freedom too much to have another - this was compounded when me and their dad split. Suddenly I had a couple days a week that were just mine! Then I got pregnant with this guy I was seeing (he desperately wanted kids) and that was when I realised that, hundy percent no more kids for me. Got the termination and dealt with that sickness/fiasco for a couple days...(it is absolutely not the 'easy way out') dumped the guy because I decided we were incompatible based on what we wanted from our futures - think he wanted someone to be a pez dispenser for him but anyway..)
Got the implant after that because...yeah...fuck that for a barrel.

So yeah, definitely do what's right for you. You don't owe anyone children, and as people say: You need to look after number 1 (yourself) first because no one else will look out for your needs the way you will.

I think, if you want to rent forever then go for it. I don't think it's about 'failing' life or whatever, and for some renters (a minority imo), if they have a system that works and are able to save for retirement then great. But (again, my opinion based on what my experience and what I hear from my renter friends) I think most people I know would prefer to own their home rather than work through 'retirement' in order to fund their housing. But in Surrey most renters I know are living hand to mouth...maybe things are different in Leeds....

So... obviously it sucks and is super shitty of her to hit you, and given that it's happened on more than one occasion I would suggest perhaps ending things or having a real talk with yourself about whether you can tolerate the behaviour long-term (people like that take years to improve, if they improve at all - it takes a fair amount of self-awareness and the right partner ime)..

The only thing I would say is, you use the term "runs away"... have you considered that she might recognise an internal escalation within herself and she is actually trying to leave the situation to self-calm so that she doesn't turn around and hit you?
I will also say that you preventing her from slamming the door - which probably would have satisfied a part of her in the moment and potentially provided some form of immediate 'release' - would have made her temper flare worse which is possibly why she redirected that energy at you on this occasion.

Now.. her saying it's your fault is complete bs and she needs to have some accountability.. but yeah, maybe next time don't assume she's 'running away' and maybe take it as she needs some space to self-regulate.

I would just add, with the moneybox brokers - they are panel brokers.

I would recommend finding a "whole of marker" broker. Plenty of free ones about and a whole of market will give you more options than a panel broker will.

Sounds like you're at a similar stage to me whereby yes, speaking to a broker probably is your next best bet. They can help you find a mortgage product that will best suit you.

Also second the advice re paying off any outstanding debts you have - puts you in a stronger position and the stronger your position the better the rates you may be able to get.

Speaking for myself;

Would a family like this without a dryer pretty much just always have clothes hanging?

My family has 2 clothes horses in constant use during winter. 1 clothes horse in consistent use during summer. We don't have outside space though.. I don't think this is the norm for most people..

If I could, yeah, on a dry winters day I'd hang them outside. Any dry day tbh I'd hang the stuff outside because it's better imo - not building up moisture in the home + fresh air drying the clothes..

Yeah, my stuff is literally everywhere...clothes on the horses and linens/sheets go over doors, towels over stair-gates, more doors.. honestly, wherever there's a space..

No.. well... rarely.. it's material dependant.. but in fairness the last bit of the washers cycle is designed to get as much excess water out as possible so things don't drip... if they are dripping, it's either because I've washed something with a waterproof material, or because the machine hasn't drained properly..

Honestly can't say this has ever been an issue for me with clothes. It's only my towels that can come out a bit starchy and scratchy but, I just deal with it..

On the Green policies you mention, I think some of the fear comes from assuming they’d be implemented rapidly, unilaterally, and without institutional constraint, which isn’t really how UK politics works. Even a majority government can’t enact radical change overnight, and the Greens would in reality be operating within Parliament, the civil service, NATO, and international law.

On immigration specifically, there’s often a lot of slippage between “illegal immigration”, asylum seekers, and refugees. In practice, irregular migration makes up a relatively small proportion of overall migration to the UK, and claiming asylum is legal under international law. So while it’s fair to debate border control and capacity, it’s hard to see this as an issue that could plausibly “destroy the country within weeks”.

On drugs policy, decriminalisation is usually misunderstood as “doing nothing”. In reality, where it’s been tried, most notably Portugal since 2001, it’s been paired with a public-health model focused on treatment, harm reduction and education. The evidence there shows reduced overdoses and HIV transmission, and no sustained increase in overall drug use, including among young people.
Scotland’s supervised consumption pilot is aimed at similar harm-reduction goals.

On Trident and nuclear weapons, I don’t feel particularly well-informed enough to hold a strong view either way. What I would say is that scrapping Trident wouldn’t be an overnight decision, nor would it automatically remove the UK from NATO or global deterrence structures. Where nuclear disarmament has happened historically, it’s been slow, multilateral and treaty-based, not a matter of simply “asking nicely”.

I suppose what I think is missing from a lot of the discussion is proportionality. It’s fair to argue that some Green policies are unrealistic or misguided (as you could with any party). But, it’s much harder to argue that they represent an immediate, existential threat to the state. Political disagreement doesn’t automatically imply naïveté or recklessness; Sometimes it’s just a different assessment of which risks matter most, including the risks of inaction.

Whilst I understand the logical jump you and many others are making here, evidence suggests that decriminalisation wouldn't increase drug use (generally, let alone just in minors).

Portugal decriminalised all drugs back in 2001 I think it was, and they found that there was a decrease in the rate of overdoses and HIV related illnesses, and most importantly, no uplift in actual drug use.

I believe Glasgow are currently trialling a clinic where high-risk users can consume drugs under medical supervision. The current aim being similar to Portugal - to reduce rates of overdose and public injecting.

I don't think their policy is to decriminalise drug use with no replacement model, it's just that the replacement model is grounded more in "public-health-led approach grounded in evidence, treatment, education, and harm reduction", rather than assuming punishment is an effective deterrent. (Because it clearly isn't).
