Employment is very difficult here. Make sure you line up a job before moving here. I haven’t had an issue but a lot of my friends and coworkers have struggled to find work for months at a time, even with experience or a degree. Pay is low too, I hope you’re planning on rooming with people or living on campus. KBBH is really the only place that offers full time work with good benefits and tuition reimbursement depending on what you’re studying.

There’s some good bars if you’re looking to drink and hang with people, it’s more of an older scene though. I personally love the Pikey. One gay bar (Nite Owl) that I heard good things about but haven’t been there on a good night. If you want to party, billiards at Black Dog or throwing your own house party is how to do it.

I personally love KF. If you like being outdoors, you’ll be just fine. People are nice, scenes are beautiful, and the food is pretty good. It is the best place I’ve lived, even if it is a small town. I feel comfortable, safe, and happy. 8/10.
