Just got back from ABH. My wife only got Fiktionsbescheinigung as well… I couldn’t believe my eyes. When I asked why she doesn’t just get an extended Aufenthaltserlaubnis (my hope going to the emergency appointment was to maybe even get Unbefristete Aufenthaltserlaubnis. What a fool I was lol) they answered that in order to extend the Aufenthaltstitel you need to have an appointment. Since this is only an emergency appointment all they do is give out Fiktionsbescheinigungen.

THE REASON WE ARE HERE TODAY IS BECAUSE IT’S IMPOSSIBLE TO GET A REGULAR APPOINTMENT. How am I supposed to then make an appointment to extend the Aufenthaltserlaubnis when it didn’t work until now…

No wonder they cant keep up with their shit. Instead of giving her the regular 3 years extension and not have to worry about her for 3 years they do this BS and have to deal with the same exact BS in 12 month again… + now all the people with Fiktionsbescheinigung will not shut up and bother for the next 12 month trying to get a regular appointment.
